## What is HoleCopy?

Replacing a bracket, a hinge, or a speaker plate? The holes are the hard part.
Measure them one by one with a ruler and the errors stack up until the last
hole is off. HoleCopy does not measure the old part — it copies the pattern.
Print the free reference sheet, lay the old part on it, take one photo. The
app corrects the perspective, finds every round through-hole, and gives you
its center and diameter in real millimetres.

HOW IT WORKS
1. Print the A4 or US Letter reference sheet at 100% (free)
2. Lay the old part on the sheet and take one photo
3. HoleCopy squares up the photo and detects the holes
4. Check the result on screen — move a center, resize a hole, add one the
   camera missed, delete one it invented
5. Export a true 1:1 PDF or SVG, tape it to the new material, and drill

BUILT FOR THE WORKSHOP, NOT JUST THE PHOTO
- Patterns bigger than one sheet split across pages, with overlap and
  alignment marks so you can tape them together accurately
- Mirror the template for the back side of a part
- Export SVG to bring the pattern into a vector program
- Every page carries a 100 mm and 1 inch check bar, so you confirm your
  printer did not scale the page before you trust the template
- All processing happens on your device — photos never leave it

and previewing the output are all free — printing the reference sheet is
free too. Saving, sharing, or AirPrinting the actual-size PDF or SVG
requires a one-time purchase. No subscription, no ads, no account.

BEFORE YOU DRILL
HoleCopy works with flat parts and round through-holes 3 mm and larger,
where the part and the reference sheet fit in one photo. It is a
positioning aid, not a guarantee of precision — always confirm the printed
check bar measures exactly 100 mm, and drill a small pilot hole first when
it matters. Not intended for safety-critical parts.
