However, my two main complaints are that every single time I open the app it asks me to enable notifications. You must make a selection before you are able to do anything in the app. I say no every single time, and the pop up still appears every time I open the app. I have tried enabling notifications, then disabling, and the pop up comes back the next time I open the app. The notification decision should be saved/cached so I dont have to interact with it every time. Second, the first time I open the app each day it takes 30+ seconds to load (after making a selection on the notification screen). The home page of the app sits loading. I’ve reached out to the app team and I haven’t heard a thing. I tried to delete the app a couple of times and start over. It lets me get a card, enroll, then when I attempt to register it won’t let me choose more than one drop-down question. It says “last 4 digits of phone number”, then the next one doesn’t give me an option. I’ve tried guessing what it might ask, leaving it blank, filling everything else out, but nothing works. I think it’s a good app, although it does have its issues. I noticed when I tap on the basket icon in the bottom left, the app shuts down and I have to reopen the app. It’s done this every time, otherwise, I would have rated 5 stars. ### 1/5 — Doesn't work *2020-11-28, version 1.7.4* It's supposed to send a verification code to your phone when you first log in with an existing account. I need to delete it. It always wants you to turn notifications on. Doesn’t work when you need it to. And if it doesn’t accept your password and you ask it to send you an email so you can reset your password, it doesn't do it. I’ve talked to many employees at the gas stations about it and even they say it’s a pain for them and it doesn’t work. ### 1/5 — You know what I love *2025-11-26, version 43.01.00* Is every single time I open the app before anything loads getting a box on the bottom asking me to turn on notifications. Every single time. I just tested this where I opened it and closed it and it did it every single time. You know what's going to get me to not do something???? Asking constantly or every single time. If someone says no leave it at that and stop asking. Makes me not want to use the app as I don't want to constantly be pestered into doing something. The rewards are a whole different story. You barely get points and what you can redeem them for are laughable pathetic. It's pretty much pointless. This is no longer helpful. Needs to go back to the way it used to be. ### 1/5 — No In App Card Anymore *2025-04-24, version 42.00.05* I don’t want to blurt out my phone number every time, it was easier for me to just pull out the rewards card in the app but they got rid of it in the update!! Update: I tried entering my phone number in person and instead I got sent over chevron app instead. Note to the developers: add the digital card back into the app!!!! ### 1/5 — No Rewards *2025-02-24, version 42.00.05* Undoubtedly the worst gas station app ever. I get more deals for Circle K and I don’t even live in the same state as a Circle K. I have bought a drink roughly once a week for the past year almost, and I have only gained 416 pounds, which do absolutely nothing. I have also only gained $1.04 in rewards after spending about $700 including gas. The app is so useless. It’s just an extra way for the corporation to make some extra money. It’s atrocious.
