Such a useful tool to monitor simple healthy habits, then receive a nudge when you forget. Lots of other useful information and tips are included on nutrition, exercise and positive mental well-being. This app was recommended to all patients by my GP Practice.

### 5/5 — Really helpful Motivation

*2024-03-29, version 1.37.6*

Fortunate to jave received it through our GP, just at the time I needed it. Provides guidance and gentle encouragement across a whole spectrum of lifestyle habits from movement to food to bReath and meditation. It encourages own goal setting. I really like the confetti effect of swiping the completed habits. Its there if I have had a hectic time and have not been able to engage as much as I would like. I can just pick up the habits again. Useful information on things we may not have thought about.

### 5/5 — Great support

*2023-12-28, version 1.36.0*

I was recommended to use this app by my GP and have to admit I was really sceptical! I could not have been more wrong as the Holly Health App has been such a great support over the last few weeks and although it keeps in touch on a daily basis it is not intrusive and you can participate as much as you like. I would definitely recommend this to people who may be like me and are not great at asking for help!

### 5/5 — Holly Health app

*2023-12-27, version 1.36.0*

Holly Health was offered to me through my local GP Practice.
I pick up to six habits to do each day for a week from Activity, Health, Sleep and Nutrition. (There are lots of habits to choose from and you can change as often as you wish).
These are simple things that can be done quickly, but start making an incredible difference to your life. It’s surprising how small changes can make such a positive impact on your life.
I absolutely love this app from Holly Health and would highly recommend it to anyone. If you use it, you will feel the benefits very quickly.I feel happier, healthier, more energised and generally more satisfied with my life.
Thank you to the NHS for offering me
the Holly Health app, and well done to the Holly Health team.
David Neale.

### 5/5 — HollyHealth

*2023-12-27, version 1.36.0*

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Won’t let me cancel subscription

*2025-01-14, version 1.60*

Gave an email that does not work to cancel my subscription disgusting

### 1/5 — Useless

*2024-10-30, version 1.54*

Repetitive nonsense.

### 1/5 — Pure junk

*2022-05-30, version 1.19.122*

GP offered this, but it’s terrible. Pure junk. So much text, scrolls up so far, all the activities are called “title”, and just generally seems inappropriate for me. Setup was a bunch of badly thought out questions. Uninstalled after having a chuckle at how pointless it was.

On a super serious note: asking sensitive but optional questions like gender and date of birth but with no way to skip is wrong. I was forced to answer to get to the next step.

### 1/5 — It has to be in the paid apps

*2021-09-07, version 1.4*

If you have to pay to use an app why would it be on the “free apps” category - think from the user’s perspective - I downloaded a free app, passed the onboarding and sign up (about 3-5 minutes) and boom a paywall without a skip.. not nice at all

### 2/5 — Holly Help!!

*2023-03-27, version 1.27.339*

I’m so frustrated with this app. I really want to love it but I just can’t get it to work. I received a free 6 month trial with my GP surgery but I can’t get it to move past a screen. It tells me it’s going to make some suggestions but it doesn’t. I’ve deleted and tried it over and over again but no luck. I already pay for Fabulous and thought that if I preferred this that I would move over when my trial ended. That seems unlikely at this point.

### 3/5 — Stretching ecervises diagrams

*2025-03-07, version 1.63*

These would be better explained via real person in a video rather than static diagrams

### 3/5 — Frustrating!

*2022-02-19, version 1.15*

This could be a really good app but there are issues with challenges loading pages. For example I selected the ‘celebrate good times’ challenge but can’t complete it as it won’t load on my phone. Some of the functionality is non-intuitive too - for example it took me ages how to work out how to mark a habit as done.

### 4/5 — Good graphics and easy to use

*2024-09-01, version 1.50*

Use this app via my GP and the short info messages are helpful. I sort of resent being told what to do by an app so maybe I’m not the best person to review this! BUT there are loads of things to choose from and have found many things helpful with anxiety without causing extra stress by being too intrusive. Great product

### 4/5 — Great app

*2024-08-20, version 1.50*

Great app, good access to information but I don’t mind a few notifications but it’s starting to get more and more I’m up to 8-10 a day 3 sometimes 4 in the morning and then 3-5 in the evening…and no way of controlling them.

### 4/5 — I like it now it’s more usable.

*2024-06-01, version 1.40*

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Helpful to form positive habits

*2026-06-17, version 2.0.8*

My GP practice invited me to use this app and despite some initial scepticism on my part, I am very grateful for the opportunity to try it.
It is a really useful way to help form positive habits, and reminds you gently to complete your actions on the schedule that you set.
I can fully recommend this app, thank you!

### 5/5 — Friendly & Motivational

*2026-06-15, version 2.0.8*

This app is really good at helping you stay focussed on your health goals and taking the time to think about yourself even just for a few minutes in the day. I liked it so much that I recommended it to our HR team to offer our own employees!

### 5/5 — Helpful

*2025-05-25, version 1.71*

I started using this as I had a new blood pressure monitor and this app was recommended.

I like the way I can keep track of the BP readings and it’s a positive coach for forming habits. If you can’t think of something, there are plenty of suggestions for you to choose from and it’s ok to start small and build from there.

Good app!

### 5/5 — 79 years old

*2025-01-17, version 1.60*

I believe the Holly app can help get me motivated and out of my chair I am already doing some light exercise and have given up drinking Pepsi Max which can only be a good thing.

My GP signed me up for this app and I think it was money well spent.
I’m finding it really useful. I love the wide variety of goals you can set and the ability to check in with my mood and record what’s affecting my day.
The chats, although not with a person are actually very helpful.
