## What is Hollywood Talent Tycoon?

Build your talent agency empire in this deep Hollywood tycoon and actor management sim — from 1960 to the streaming age.

Hollywood, 1960. You hang a name on the door and sign your first client. Everything from here is on you.

Hollywood Talent Tycoon is a management game that follows one actor — then a whole roster — from the casting couches of the old studio system to the streaming era. Scout unknowns, land roles, negotiate contracts, and turn a one-person agency into the town's biggest name.

DISCOVER & DEVELOP TALENT
Every actor has hidden potential. Scout the unknowns, coach the skills that matter, and watch fame build one role at a time — from student films and commercials to leading roles and franchise contracts.

RUN THE CASTING BOARD
Every role is a competition. Study the requirements, weigh the odds, and submit your actor against dozens of rivals for parts in films, TV series, and commercials. Every rejection and every win shapes your client's career — and your agency's reputation.

BUILD A LIVING HOLLYWOOD
25 rival talent agencies are chasing the same roles you are. Studios rise and fall. Actors become stars — or fade. Contracts expire, and free agents hit the open market before somebody else signs them. The town keeps moving whether you do or not.

FROM AGENCY TO STUDIO
Grow big enough, and the business changes. Build your own Movie Studio and Television Studio, hire scriptwriters, and greenlight the scripts they write. Cast your own clients in the lead — or open the net to the whole talent pool — and collect the box office every week the picture plays. Renew a hit TV series season after season, or cancel it while you're ahead. It's the endgame every agency owner dreams about: running the whole show.

MANAGE THE DRAMA
Scandals break. Romances bloom in front of the cameras — and sometimes behind them. Reputations are made and lost in a single season. As agency owner, every decision is yours: protect your client, or let the story burn.

DECADES OF HOLLYWOOD HISTORY
Start in the golden age of the studio system and play all the way to the present — through the rise of television, the blockbuster era, and the age of streaming. Every era changes how the business works.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.6.0 — 2026-08-27

The Frankensteiner Clinic is open.

• Say how handsome — or how ugly — you want a client, then choose your surgeon. The best never misses by more than 5 points. The cheapest is a gamble.
• Design the face yourself: jaw, nose, eyes, hair, make-up, wardrobe. Styling costs nothing.
• Surgery also takes years off the age the camera reads.
• Also new: design your own character at the start, a hairdresser, and stage names.
• Fixed: two clients in one film became two films.

### 1.5.2 — 2026-08-21

Poaching is here. A rival's client can be signed away in the final year of their contract — if you can buy their agency out, and if you have spent years being someone worth calling.

New: build a relationship with any actor in town, hire a Lobbyist to work on them for you, and put a scout on a rival's contract to learn when it runs out. Know someone well enough and they call you first.

Fixed: a decision that could block the week for good, and saved games you can now delete.

### 1.4.0 — 2026-08-18

You can save your agency now. Three slots, plus the autosave you already had.

Also fixed: progress could be lost when leaving the app on iPhone, long messages couldn't be scrolled so their buttons were out of reach, and the same client could be cast in several roles in one of your own productions.

### 1.3.0 — 2026-08-17

CHANGED — SCHEDULING
- Being cast no longer takes an actor off the market. A shoot that starts in ten weeks now blocks those ten weeks, not the ten weeks in between: your client stays free to read for anything that doesn't clash.
- Television is the big one. A series used to lock an actor for as long as the show ran. Now a season holds only the weeks it actually films — six to twelve, scaled to how big the part is, so a Series Regular carries the block and a Guest Star drops in for a few weeks. Between seasons your client is free to take a picture.
- Next season's weeks are pencilled in while the show waits on renewal, so nothing gets double-booked. If it isn't renewed, those weeks are released.
- A client can only carry one running series at a time.
- Your roster now says which of these applies: on set, booked from a given week, or between seasons.
- Two jobs can never overlap. That hasn't changed, and it's checked harder than before.

FIXED
- When a rival agency approached an unhappy client, the note explaining why the retention bonus was greyed out ran off the edge of the button and got cut off — so the option looked broken rather than unaffordable. The reason now sits on its own line, with the exact shortfall.

### 1.2.0 — 2026-08-15

The desk work finally has someone to do it.

NEW — CASTING MANAGER
- A new hire under Perception. Every week they submit your clients for castings, following rules you set yourself on each actor's Casting tab: which role types, which project types, and how good the odds have to be before they'll put someone up.
- You can also tell them to leave an unhappy client alone, and — if you employ a Script Analyst — to hold out for scripts above a quality you choose.
- Their level matters twice over: how many clients they get through in a week, and how well they judge the odds. A green manager will misread a room now and then; a seasoned one rarely does.
- Off by default for every actor, so nothing happens behind your back.

ALSO NEW
- Actors now show the flag of their nationality beside their name — on your roster, on their profile, and across the World's actor listings.
- Your first client no longer starts from nothing: they arrive with a little experience already behind them, and a rounded set of acting skills rather than a raw one.
