To purchase the irrigation controller and set it up at home, one assumes that it is fit for purpose. Not so! From the iPhone there is no Bluetooth connection process to even start the app with. Hit and miss after setting whether the timer is reliable. After iOS14, the app no longer talks to the controller. Really disappointing technology and zero customer experience built into the ecosystem. Do t waste your money

Very unhappy I purchased the BTX1 as I cannot use it because It only connects to these 3 iPhones;    
 7plus, 7 and 5s.  [i have a 6Splus]
(Plus works with some Samsung phones)
Wat the???  Why would they do that??
It’s not written on the box which is worse!!
I now have to return it and buy another. 
I was going to next get the Holman lights but this definitely won’t be happening now.  Holman need to up their game!!

Scheduled waterings don’t work, connection is problematic. Poor app to support an expensive watering device. Have deleted app and returned unit for refund to purchase a Gardena.

This app and timer are complete rubbish, first one didn’t work took it back and replacement doesn’t either. Doesn’t connect to Bluetooth fails to download tap timer settings, just complete rubbish. Nothing smart about this tap timer at all. Will be returning again for another brand

Hopeless app just like the Holman iGarder app. Horrible interface, riddled with bugs and not worth the space. Avoid buying any “smart” Holman products, their apps are woefully inadequate which essentially renders the products useless.

Timers have stop working on mine and the app gives no real feedback as to whether things are set properly still.

You can download the schedule to a blank app state and that (I guess) tells you how it is set but when it's not working you're left to your own devices to work out what's failing.

The links to help docs all 404 now so this seems like it's basically an unsupported product, which is funny as Bunning still sell it. 

I would buy a different brand with nicer UX, better feedback as to what is going on and that is regularly updated. Not having diagnosis or even a basic manual in app is just lazy.

First buy failed to connect to any device via Bluetooth. Returned and new one works well. A bit concerned about lack of updates (2 years).
