Now he comes in through your BIBLE!!!!! ### 2/5 — This bible app *2020-03-14* What prevents me from rating this app higher is the fact that when I initiate the start up, the voice app instantly starts audibly speaking a Bible verse, which is disruptive and distracting. Christians use the Bible personally but also in church. So imagine what happens when you open the app in church and this loud Audible voice starts to quote a Bible scripture in dead silence. Not only that I have to kill advertisements that has the smallest link to close the window. ### 3/5 — NiV 1984 *2022-07-25, version 2.3* I finally found a completely free NIV 1984. The only thing is that you have to switch to the KJV in order to change books and chapters, then switch back to the NIV84. Thanks for making the 84 edition free. ### 3/5 — It’s OK *2021-12-25* It could have been better if one could bookmark from any version. Second the displays of the auto or pop up Bible verses are cut off. I purchased this too early without testing. However it could be better if these two issues were fixed. ### 3/5 — Great idea but the NIV is missing quite a few audio files *2020-10-18* My main purpose for purchasing this app was to obtain audio files for the NIV version of the Bible. I like to listen as I read along. Overall, I wanted to love the app, but instead my conclusion is that I only “just like it” due to it having several flaws. 1. To download audio files for the NIV version, you must download every chapter of each book individually (all 1189). So this takes a LONG time (at my house this took about 15 hours). 2. There are several chapters with no audio file. Exodus: ch 9 Leviticus: ch 26 Numbers: ch 2 is repeat of ch 1 1 Samuel: ch 13 garbled 1 Samuel: ch 14 is missing several verses at the beginning of the chapter. 1 Chronicles: ch 9 is repeat of ch 8 Job: Ch 42 audio is repeat of ch 40 audio Psalm 73: audio is from something else Isaiah: ch 21, 37 missing 3. There are several chapters where the audio file is present; however it is in another language (not English). Deuteronomy: ch 9 Joshua: ch 24 Ruth: ch 2 2 Samuel: ch 20 2 Kings: ch 25 2 Chronicles: ch 3 Nehemiah: ch 3, 7 4. Job: ch 11 text is KJV but the audio is NIV 5. The entire book of Judges is missing (no text or audio). If you select any chapter in Judges, then the app just shuts down. However, for the other audio files that can be downloaded (all 1189 less the 40 listed above), the audio is quite nice and easy to listen along.
