For the most part it works awesome until you try to put in an interior wall and it somehow puts your rooms outside. One thing I have done is to design a copy of my home the way it is now, then change features that I have always wanted to change. There are some things I would like to see in future updates. One nice addition would be skylights. Another would be things for the exterior such as shutters. It would be very nice to have access to second levels and basements. It would also be nice to have some very large trees to add vocationally. One fun future addition you may consider is picking a landscape in which to place your dream home. Another useful addition would be Crown molding and baseboards and possibly high transom windows. ### 5/5 — Love this app *2024-07-19, version 5.4.1* Love this app! Just a great tool to help with perspective when trying to design and explain spaces for personal use or projects for others. Used this for our home addition, costumers kitchens and bathrooms, basements finishes and landscape. Our 5 & 7 year olds even use this to decorate their bedrooms the way they want them. The only thing I wish I could do is add roofing structure. Tried using objects and manipulating them but I was not very successfully. That said, I’m still finding more and more ways for this app to expand its tool box with every use. Well done. 7/18/21 Since my last review, roofs have been added!👍. New feature to move the UI, queen? *2024-05-20, version 5.4.1* I’ve had this game/the free version on multiple devices and accounts since 2011, and even used it for an assignment when I went to school for interior design, so I LOVE this mf. I gatekeep it like my life depends on it, but I simply have to give it three stars right now. When you’re in 3D mode and have the menu for items open, it covers the joystick to move. My brother in christ, why is this the case? I hate to say it, but since downloading the app on this iPad, I’ve had to close the app after less than an hour every time I play in 3D mode. It just gets to annoying to constantly open and close the menu when you want to move even a couple feet to the side. It gets especially tough when you use the paint dropper in one room, then have to walk somewhere else, then lose your swatch. It really makes you have to mentally lock in, and i like to play numb brained after a long day, but here’s my finger tap dancing over some wall paper swatches. A feature to flip the side the joystick is on would make using this app SO much smoother. And correct me if I’m wrong, but I swear this was a feature at one point of this games life? Even if it was like eight years ago haha. But please- please allow us the joy of this feature so I pump up the numbers on screen time TL;DR- please let us flip the side of the joystick in 3D mode because the item menu currently covers it, making it inconvenient when moving around while changing the colour of things in the room ### 5/5 — Update *2024-04-24, version 5.4.1* Please we need an update. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Not happy at all *2025-10-10, version 5.4.5-916* We paid for this app, and at that time, it didn’t have any in-app purchases. Now, they’ve added some basic and core features like multi-floor functionality, and they’re charging $9 for it. This is a really messed-up move to sell an app and then, after it’s been successful, add in-app purchases to make more money from users who have already paid. This is an insult to us. Also the 3D quality and graphics is not that good. I opted for the cloud, assuming it would be the safest option (both files had identical dates and times attached to them so I was unable to differentiate between the two) only to find that it was an old version and I’m now unable to access the up to date version. I had used the app on multiple occasions and had never had this issue before. This application allows me to make several revisions and tailor the plan to the needs of the client with a basic layout that the architect and engineer can then take to the next level for submission to the planning board. It saves my clients THOUSANDS of dollars every time I use it. If you are someone who just loves playing around with layouts or a professional looking for a fast and efficient way to make up plans for clients, this application is quite good! ### 5/5 — Love the APP *2025-08-31, version 5.4.3* I have been using this APP for years now and absolutely love it, the building options are fantastic, just did the most recent Apple update 17.7.10 and of course it creates havoc with all the APPS and it’s very slow and struggle to move items around the building and adjust things, Apple strikes again LOL. I paid to do the upgrade but don’t see any differences than what I already had. Can you please let me know what’s up? It's been an amazing tool to explore remodeling ideas. For the most part it is very easy to use. Things I wish it had: Layers, I would like to lock down areas so I don't accidentally move unintentional objects or object groups. Better export tools, like the ability to record a video of a walkthrough. The ability to send my snapshots to Google photos. Better rendering of lights and shading. Wish there was a desktop version to continue the design on my computer. For the price, by far one off my favorite iPad apps.
