## What is Home Inspector?

Prepare for selected US National Home Inspector Examination (NHIE) knowledge areas with focused practice and clear explanations.

Home Inspector: NHIE Prep includes 140 independently written or rewritten questions across 11 study topics. Explore site drainage, roofing and flashing, structure, electrical and plumbing observations, heating and cooling, moisture, interior safety, reporting and professional responsibilities.

STUDY WITH PURPOSE
• Read explanations and primary-source links with every question
• Choose question counts by topic
• Review correct and missed answers after practice
• Resume an unfinished session
• Track topic progress locally on your device
• Work through three original training diagrams
• Use optional per-question timing; practice is untimed by default

Questions, explanations and diagrams work offline. External source pages require a connection. No account is needed.

KNOW YOUR EXAM AND YOUR STATE
The in-app guide explains the national NHIE format, its three published domains and the difference between scaled exam scoring and a practice percentage. The question allocation follows the broad 70% property/building and site review, 20% analysis/reporting and 10% professional-responsibility split. Topic practice is customizable and does not reproduce a full official exam.

Licensing and test arrangements vary by state. This app does not cover state inspector-law exams or replace required education, field experience, insurance, applications or the separate InterNACHI online examination.

CLEAR COVERAGE LIMITS
This is selective supplemental practice, not a complete syllabus or a full 200-question mock. It does not supply complete code tables, all structural/material systems, full appliance test procedures, specialist environmental sampling, business-law advice or practical inspection training. Diagrams are simplified teaching schematics, not construction drawings. Use the current EBPHI outline, references, your state regulator and qualified training alongside this bank.

INDEPENDENT STUDY SUPPORT
NHIE and National Home Inspector Examination are marks of the Examination Board of Professional Home Inspectors (EBPHI). This app is not affiliated with, approved by or endorsed by EBPHI, ASHI, InterNACHI or any government licensing authority. It contains no official exam questions, grants no license or continuing-education credit and makes no pass guarantee.

### 1/5 — Not a good app

*2018-06-12*

Not enough questions to study. Grading system doesn’t make any sense. No updates. Not worth purchasing.

### 1/5 — Incorrect info

*2017-05-02*

Bought this app to help study for the national home inspector exam and started realizing there is wrong info in the quizzes. For example, they claim the minimum stair tread run is 9" when its actually 10". Not sure what else is wrong but this is very unhelpful when I'm expected to know these details for the national exam. I'm not relying in this any longer as a study aid.
