Now I have to take pictures with my regular camera and edit after they are taken which takes longer. This is not good for streamlining business and ad several extra viable minutes to my inspection process. this is only been since the recent update. Any news on a bug fix? **Developer response:** This was an iOS update issue with iOS 17. We've worked around it in the latest version of HIP Mobile. The customer service is next to none! It seems you can call or email and just about any hour of the day and their customer service department will answer. The rolling updates that come out ever so often, from actual inspectors that find a need, makes this software one of the best. Tech support is second to none as well. No matter what the issue was, Dominic and his team was always able to get it fixed. 99.9% of the time, it was user error and not an issue with HIP. I will continue to recommend HIP to all inspectors whether new or old. And I will say it is a learning curve like every new software change will be , the part that sets HIP aside is the support, they are always there to help out . Learning a new software we have many questions and frequently. They helped every step , it wasn’t as difficult as I made it out to be . Change is always hard . My reports and everything look so much better, and if I’m stumped I just call . I’m glad I made the change! Absolutely a huge benefit to my company! The reports are beautiful and very very flexible. My clients and realtors love the reports! Also, the templates are easily edited to fit anybody’s work style. You’ll have to take one pic then delete and re-take the shot. Very time consuming. Additionally, numerous pics save with the wrong orientation. If you working slickly from a Mobile Device (I pad pro) you will not be able to send out reports. ### 1/5 — Not impressed *2022-09-27, version 6.51* As a prior software/business developer this software is so overly complicated. It’s the 21st century, no desktop client should be needed. As a prior user of InspectIT Pro, which was a pure joy to use, this software is complicated, template edits incredibly difficult, and the training tutorials are just awful. Too many bells and whistles as with most packages. Image over substance. Moving on. ### 1/5 — Maybe time will improve *2021-12-17* For all the accolades of how fast, flexible, and great this software is I do not feel it. I’ve spent HOURS and HOURS “transferring” the InspectIt templates and STILL haven’t got it done. Reports take FOREVER with this software and heaven forbid you want to change something midstream. Want to delete a section from the report - no can do. You have to go back to the desktop to get any flexibility and then it is so much. Want to copy a section from one template to another - nope, you get to recreate it all over again. Photos - where do they hide them? Unable to go back and refer to the photos outside of the program - a horrid feature. I could go on but I have five more hours to spend completing what should have been a simple report. Using an IPad Air w/retina the pictures were ridiculously blurry. I quickly downloaded another program, completely re-inspected the property, AND was able to Email a report from a demo version. The camera option to take a photo back to back is no longer on the same screen. They are amazing, friendly, and, most of all, very good at what they do. ### 5/5 — Switch to HIP *2022-01-15* I switched over to Home Inspector Pro from InspectIt about a year ago. I absolutely Love it. I’m not to Tech savvy. The tech support at HIP is second to none. The software integrates well and is super fast. I live on the edge of town so our WiFi is slow. Never a problem. The only limitation is on the user end (Me). Definitely a Five Star. And I would definitely recommend it to anyone in the Home Inspection Field.
