## What is Home Inventory & Contents List?

After a fire, a flood or a burglary the claim is settled item by item, and it is you who has to say what was there. Every insurer, and every adjuster who has ever handled a claim, says the same thing: walk round the house beforehand with your phone and record everything. Almost nobody does, because every app that offers to help turns into an afternoon of typing.

This one does not. Photograph a thing. The microphone is already listening, so just say what it is: what it is, where it came from, roughly what it cost. Tap Save. That is one item. A sofa takes ten seconds; a house takes an evening, and you never type a word unless you want to.

THE PDF

When you have been round, print the lot. Each photograph at a size an adjuster can actually see, two to a page, with your words underneath and the date the camera wrote into the picture. If you happened to mention a price, it is printed beside the item and added up on the last page. Send it to your insurer, keep a copy with a relative, put one in the drawer.

You can also send the whole thing as one file: the PDF and every photograph at full size, for the day it is needed.

MADE FOR THE WALK

One big button. Dictation runs on the phone with Apple's on-device recogniser; your voice never leaves it. Type instead if you prefer, or fix a word later. Search your things. A reminder can bring you back twice a year, because an inventory is only worth what it says today.

IT NEVER LEAVES YOUR PHONE

A photographed list of everything you own is about the most private file a phone can hold. So there is no account, no sign-in, no servers, no cloud. Nothing is uploaded, ever. Photographs and words stay in the app on your phone until you print or send the PDF yourself. Lock it with Face ID. It works with the phone in aeroplane mode. An encrypted backup file, with a passphrase only you know, is what survives a lost phone.

FREE, AND THE UNLOCK

Photographing and describing your things is free and always will be, with no limit. Walk the whole house first.

The free version prints the first two pages. One purchase, no subscription, unlocks every page, the whole file with the full-size photographs, a passphrase on the PDF, and encrypted backups. Family Sharing included.
