Like changing the timezone / schedules - you view in one place but edit in another menu. Still using old app which is much simpler. ### 2/5 — Das geht besser! *2026-04-13* Diese App ist eine mittlere Kathastrophe. Sie lässt sich meistens erst im zweiten oder dritten Anlauf öffnen. Meistens hängt sie sich auf. Trotz mehrfachen Neustarts verbindet sich mein System weder mit dem Router noch der App. ### 1/5 — Shocking *2026-02-26, version 26.2.0* You buy a smart thermostat only for the company to make it dumb via a new app with zero functionality. ### 1/5 — Hidden most used tool *2026-02-16* Just spent 20 minutes trying to work out how to do what was one easy button press on old app - set the thermostat to away till a date and time. Running a holiday home this is probably the only feature I use, and now this has been buried with multiple clicks to set. App looks lovely but frankly pointless (trying to set a temp that used to be a click to nudge up, now a clumsy dial. All style over substance. Please don't stop support for old app until you get the basics sorted. ### 1/5 — Very poor downgrade *2026-02-16, version 26.1.1* Very unintuitive to use, how do you boost the heating or turn off heating at one go like you used to? The answer? It isn’t there. You have to create a schedule. A very poor downgrade from previous app, does very little of what the previous app did. It seems designed by someone technical rather than a professional designer. Netatmo/legrand/biticino need to know this. ### 1/5 — Don’t update your app *2026-02-15* Screwed my install, and it seems like I’m not alone. Gonna have to start again from scratch. The app seems to offer little new, if the old app keeps working my advice is just stick with that. I was hoping the new app would bring in my smoke and CO alarms rather than separate apps, but no, it’s just the heating ### 4/5 — Gut, aber nicht optimal *2026-02-06* Ab und zu gibt es eine Fehlernachricht, dass keine Serververbindung besteht. Laut Elektriker wurde die Verbindung zum 2,4Ghz–Netz unterbrochen. ### 1/5 — This doesn’t work well at all! *2026-02-04* This new app has messed up my boiler and my thermostat! They don’t engage meaning that my boiler stays on and on and on pass the temperature that should reach! Leaving my house super warm and having to pay enormous bills! This means I need now to buy a new thermostat when everything was fine before! Definitely not buying a netatmo ever again!!! ### 1/5 — It gets worse *2026-01-30* I have dropped my review now to 1*. The relay is beyond flaky, constant disconnects on my Unifi network (not an issue with the old Netamo energy app. It won’t re- pair. Need to remove the app and hard reset the relay …. And then it’s a lottery. One in 20 attempts it will pair. Honestly this whole heating ecosystem on which I have spent a lot of money (inc 12 room radiator stats) is now junk. ### 1/5 — Won’t connect to relay *2026-01-30, version 26.0.1* Absolutely atrocious app ### 1/5 — Really??? *2026-01-16, version 26.0.1* As a replacement for the outgoing app that worked just fine. I cant even connect to my relay as its asking for a code from the original instructions/box which was binned over 5 years ago….nice work Netatmo. ### 4/5 — Einstellungen werden jetzt wieder abgespeichert *2026-01-14* Änderung: In einem der letzten beiden Updates wurde das folgende Problem gelöst, deshalb jetzt vier Sterne. (Wenn Netatmo/Lagrand auch noch die Home Assistant Integration des Thermostats unterstützt gibt es fünf Sterne!) Wenn ich direkt Änderungen über den Netatmo Thermostat vornehme, werden diese angewandt. Wenn ich aber versuche, etwas in den Zeitplänen zu ändern bzw. zu speichern, funktioniert dies nicht. Ohne Zeitpläne ist der Netatmo Thermostat damit deutlich schlechter, als die alte Fernbedienung für meine Wärmepumpe. :( ### 4/5 — Decent app, but issues with time zones and units *2026-01-11* Overall this app works well, and is a decent replacement for the old Netatmo app. But there’s one issue that I wish they would resolve. When viewing the current state of the thermostat, you’re presented with the time that the next scheduled program change will happen. This is great, except that it’s always in my local time zone. I really need to know what it is in the local time zone of the house (5 or 6 hours ahead). All other times (e.g. when programming the schedule) are displayed in the local time zone of the house. Ideally I could select whether to use my time zone or the house’s time zone on the status screen (programming etc. should always be local to the house), or if the app detects that the time zone I’m in is different to that of the house, it shows me both (that would be very neat and unambiguous). I remotely help my mum control the thermostat as she’s not very tech savvy, so having to do the maths can be confusing at times. ### 2/5 — Verbindungsprobleme *2026-01-10* Wenn ich die App öffne muss ich ständig mehrmals erneut verbinden drücken da es nicht mit dem Relais sofort verbunden ist. Es dauert immer eine gewisse Zeit bis es klappt. Bei der alten App gab es da nie Probleme aber die jetzt ist eine Katastrophe. Dieser Bug wurde bis jetzt nicht behoben. ### 1/5 — Why use such small fonts ? *2026-01-07* In an app that controls the heating the most important thing is to see the temperature and thermostat setting. But in this app the font used is so small I can’t see the numbers. I expect this app has some improvements over the old Energy app, but for its primary function it is a major downgrade because of ridiculously small fonts. I hope this can be fixed soon ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — A backward step *2026-05-26* Like others, I was promised an automatic and seamless move to the new app. The reality is it has taken hours over a few months. And still not fully there. For heating, all the rooms are now set up. But the weather modules don’t show on a dedicated screen. I have no idea how it should show me world wide coverage. Buy something else. ### 1/5 — Absolute GARBAGE *2026-05-02, version 26.4.0* Do NOT get rid of your old Netatmo app and replace it for this piece of JUNK , turns me heating on and then you can’t connect to the app again to turn it off, resorting to turning the whole boiler off at the wall as this POS doesn’t do what it’s supposed to do. One star only because couldn’t submit review with none ### 1/5 — Keep the old app as long as possible!!! *2026-03-24* Well I had zero trouble with the old app, downloaded the new app and now I have system that doesn’t work. The relay won’t talk to my phone. The app won’t talk to the relay. The coding must have been done by me who has zero knowledge. Woeful keep the old app as long as possible because once you’re in the rabbit hole you can go back! Anyone 5* this app is from the Netoamo app development team to try and stop being sacked! ### 1/5 — Per room consumption reports *2026-03-18* The previous app, on rotation of your phone displayed a bar graph showing when the heating was active for the room that could be expanded etc.. This was really useful to understand how the system was behaving. Without this the app there is little point in using the app once set up as no additional information is available, given room temps can be adjusted by asking Siri. Please could this feature be added to the next upgrade? ### 1/5 — Multiple Steps Backwards *2026-03-12* Where is the away mode? Basic functionality lost in a pointless redesign. Less functional, less intuitive, less readable. Inadequately tested on real users. Tado are seriously overtaking Netatmo. And the text size and icons - it's all to small and fiddly. We have the automation configured for the lights, fans, geysers and curtains. So far we are very happy with the performance. ### 5/5 — Top *2026-04-20* J’utilise cette app essentiellement pour piloter mon chauffe-eau en fonction de ma production solaire. Grace à un contacteur pour le chauffe-eau et un compteur d’énergie pour ma production solaire, la programmation via l’app est assez simple à mettre en place. Ça c’est top ! EDIT : je change mon commentaire car initialement je n’avais pas vu que l’app était capable d’interpréter la mesure du compteur d’énergie comme une production car par défaut c’est considéré comme une consommation ce qui rendait mes graphique totalement incohérent. Mais grâce à la réponse rapide et pertinente des développeurs j’a compris qu’on pouvait changer le mode du compteur d’énergie afin qu’il soit interprété comme une production photovoltaïque donc parfait, problème résolu ! **Developer response:** Bonjour Math. Depuis la nouvelle version de l’application la fonction « absent jusqu’au » pour les sorties de câbles. En contournement je me suis créé un planning de température « absent » avec tous mes radiateurs en mode eco, mais ça ne remplace pas le « jusqu’au » qui permettait de revenir automatiquement au planning initial à une date donnée. :( :( :( idem la notion « hors gel » a disparu…) Maj suite à la réponse du développeur : effectivement merci pour l’info. Je cliquais sur l’icône de changement de planning, je n’avais pas vu qu’en cliquant au milieu de cette zone ça ouvrait d’autres options. Merci!!! **Developer response:** Bonjour Nico.
