### 2/5 — Do not pay for this

*2026-06-24, version 5.1.14*

The game itself is pretty fun actually, I spent a significant amount of time building up and slowly grinding through gameplay bits and it was a blast, got all the way through act 4. If you notice now, that is paid content. I am officially unable to do anything now due to being ahead of free content, because the dev took what was free and now asks for money. 2 stars for a good game, and can count the sheer fact I did still enjoy getting to where I was in content that the horrible choice doesn’t knock it down another star into god awful garbage

### 2/5 — good but

*2026-04-16, version 5.1.14*

Hi I’m enjoying this but the find dragon’s island daily reward quest is needlessly greedy, not to mention the feed the animals. They are both designed to eat up your shards and get you to pay more, and neither of them give spirits- which is the especially weak part. Seeing as I’ve already given you guys a good deal of money, I do not appreciate this.

### 3/5 — Alright

*2025-12-12, version 5.0.25*

It’s fun. I paid for the full version. The problem is there’s not that much content after you pay. You’ll be done within a couple weeks. If it had substantially more content then I’d say it’s worth it.

### 5/5 — Great

### 5/5 — Honestly fantastic

*2025-11-20, version 5.0.25*

The game ended up being way better than I expected. I saw the graphics and few reviews and anticipated kinda a simplistic idle game with few things to do, but I was happily surprised to be completely wrong. I’d say the game has a perfect balance between complexion and simplicity where it makes you feel like you’re really involved with advancing while gently guiding you without flat out telling you stuff. Plus it’ll have a little area, that I love, that gives a little recommended next step to improve your towns and armies etc that you don’t have to follow but is nice to pay attention to. I pretty quickly decided to support the devs with buying the other chapters of the game, which totally aren’t needed, but I could tell early on that it was one of the few idle games I actually get completely hooked on and check a lot. Thank you devs!

### 5/5 — Easy game to play

*2025-11-14, version 5.0.25*

Simple, easy, and helps waste 20 minutes!

### 5/5 — Incroyable jeu

*2025-10-28*

### 5/5 — Easy 5

*2025-10-26, version 5.0.25*

Easy 5 Stars, absolutly best idle game i have ever played

### 3/5 — Ziegel ?

*2025-10-22*

Wenn ihr mir sagt wie ich Ziegel baue wäre das ein Traum. Ich kann nicht sehen wo es geht.

### 5/5 — Супер

*2025-10-12, version 5.0.23*

### 3/5 — Enjoyed it until..

*2025-10-08, version 5.0.23*

This is/was a really fun game until you reach the paywall. I understand a game has to make money for it be successful and I may even come back to this but I was looking for good free games when I came across this one.

Other than the paywall a lot of the game was enjoyable. It kept you interested in the different menus. There was almost always something to do and it even directed you towards some buildings and other that would help you progress more smoothly. On the other hand there were a few things that weren’t explained at all and it seemed like this game could use its own encyclopedia to keep track of and explain things

### 5/5 — A bit grindy but very good

*2025-09-30, version 5.0.23*

Keeps you coming back. Wish the story updates were longer and/or more frequent.

### 5/5 — One of the best mobile games I’ve played :)

*2025-09-28, version 5.0.23*

I’ve been playing this every day for a couple of weeks now and it’s still great! Really good pacing and gameplay in general.

### 5/5 — играю уже 3 года, обожаю💗

*2025-09-24*

💗💗💗спасибо за такую прекрасную игру💗💗💗

### 5/5 — Give this a try, trust me

*2025-09-23, version 5.0.23*

Wow. I don’t leave reviews often, but this game deserves the praise. First off:

No ads, optional or otherwise. This is always a main feature for me because it a game is truly solid, then they don’t need to rely on ad revenue. If the game is worth it then people will pay for more.

Secondly, the level of detail in the game alone is worth the rating, but the story line and mechanics and just all of it are top tier. I truly don’t have any gripes with the game. I never pay for games, but I did on this one because I thought the devs deserved it (and I wanted to keep growing lol)

I truly hope you give this one a try, hands down the best idle game I have ever played.

### 5/5 — Bug.

*2025-09-23, version 5.0.23*

Amazing game. But there is a glitch where the quest. Victory xlll is repeatedly completing.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Can’t play anymore due to bugs

*2026-08-08, version 5.1.16*

There are too many bugs to play now. When I get to the 5th settlement I’m no longer able to advance in the game, making it unplayable so I’m having to delete a game I’ve loved for years. Ive also put money into this game so this is disappointing!

### 1/5 — Paywall

*2026-06-26, version 5.1.14*

Checking off areas in any final kind of way is locked behind a paywall.

### 1/5 — Start over?

*2026-06-15, version 5.1.14*

I do all that work for months and now you want me to start over? No thanks. Uninstalled

Edit: Looked at this again. Saw the dev has completely saturated it with paid content and AI.

When this game first came out it was great. The dev at some point completely reset all progress and created the dumpster fire you see today.

### 1/5 — AI generated images

*2025-09-27, version 5.0.23*

To say I’m disappointed would be a tremendous understatement. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed this game, but I can’t continue to play and support it now that it’s using AI generated images. Should the AI images be removed one day, I’ll be happy to amend my review, but until then, I would not recommend this game to anyone.

### 1/5 — Mixed improvement

*2025-09-20, version 5.0.23*

They added a lot of new features and balancing in the last update but locked alot of the storyline and some features that had previously been included in the base game behind a paywall.
Seriously funky, not good.

### 1/5 — Accessibility took a hit.

*2025-09-16, version 5.0.23*

It took a while to get used to most of what everything meant on the old version, when using VoiceOver. Now, it's a completely different game, hard to understand, and in spirits, everything says level up, whether it's done or not. It was sort of okay until today when a new version of the new one came out, and it was already difficult, but this just made it even more difficult. Not sure what got enhanced, but it definitely wasn't anything having to do with accessibility. Some things in the new version, you get more of, and some, you don't, you even get less. The other frustrating thing is, when you open the game, it gives you a thing saying you only got 50% of your stuff because you didn't pay to upgrade, which wasn't the case before. I think that that needs to be changed back, screen that you have to close every single time. That in itself is enough to get some people to stop playing the game. We don't need an advertisement for what's already in the purchases menu. For those of us who were used to the game the way that it was, it was fine, but with the new version, we can't even find most of the stuff. I can't even figure out how to get to honor to upgrade anything. I'm about to give up on the game and just quit. It was already difficult to figure out because there are literally no instructions, but now it's impossible! I have games that I have played for over a decade, and then I have games that have made so many changes that they're not even the same games anymore, and I quit them, and I'm not the only one. Making changes to games is one thing, but completely changing the game is a completely different thing. You would've been better off just coming up with a new game and leaving the old game the way it was.

### 1/5 — Fun idle game marred by AI

*2025-09-16, version 5.0*

Out of the myriad idle games I’ve tried, this is one of the most polished I’ve seen. Even before the recent updates, it featured several means of development of your settlements and various resources, your army and navy both being distinct vehicles for more involved gameplay, and multiple avenues of progression tied into each other so that you have to pay attention to the decisions you make. It is still an idle game, but it’s a neat one that I at one point was fine giving some money.

At this point however, I regret having done so, because the recent updates involve the usage of AI-generated art. This is very disappointing, and I cannot in good conscience ever recommend it (or make any more in-app purchases) until they hopefully remedy this mistake by hiring an actual artist rather than using an algorithm to steal from artists for an inferior product.

### 1/5 — This is a demo

*2025-09-13, version 5.0*

It’s pretty good, it will draw you in if you can progress. Then suddenly you have to pay to continue at chapter 3, it’s almost good enough to pay for the rest but who knows if that’s for chapter 4 and then another payment? No thanks, the full game should be free if the game is free to download. This one was sneaky and tries to bait you to pay rather than just put the price on the game, bad luck I’m not paying when the developer is sneaky

### 1/5 — Why isn’t there a buy all?

*2025-09-13, version 5.0*

Pretty fun but you get to a point where you are tapping hundreds of times. Just give me a buy max button. Why isn’t this a thing? How did this not get through testing?

Dev response says you can tap and hold but that absolutely doesn’t work and I tried that a thousand times.

### 1/5 — Stop Removing Purchased Content

*2025-09-05, version 5.0*

Every major update adds a new paywall for new content, but the newest one adds a paywall for previously purchased content. I will not be spending another dime to access something I already paid for on top of supporting the developer.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Love this game

*2026-08-09, version 5.1.16*

No force pay but a couple nice upgrade packages if you like. No ads whatsoever. The plot is really engaging and everything is written with such humor. The idle upgrades are super satisfying and the crafting chains get more complex every time I think I’m finally getting all my upgrades in. 10/10

### 5/5 — Très sympa

### 5/5 — Perfect Idle Game

*2026-05-11, version 5.1.14*

So good, find myself always logging in to progress more.

### 5/5 — Love it

*2026-05-10, version 5.1.14*

I very rarely play a free game and then buy the full or pro version but this was one of the fastest purchases I’ve ever made. Great progression system, no “prestige” for a tiny bonus, a full war/army mechanic and soooo many upgrades to grind. Good job devs.

### 5/5 — good but

*2026-04-25, version 5.1.14*

Hi I’m enjoying this but the find dragon’s island daily reward quest is needlessly greedy, not to mention the feed the animals. They are both designed to eat up your shards and get you to pay more, and neither of them give spirits- which is the especially weak part. Seeing as I’ve already given you guys a good deal of money, I do not appreciate this. If you make then give spirits, that would be a good fix I think

### 5/5 — Great game!

*2026-03-07, version 5.1*

Thank you for creating such a great game!

### 5/5 — Pleasantly surprised

*2026-02-03, version 5.0.25*

This is one of the few games I’ve paid for the full version. I can’t get enough. The game has plenty of hours of content and really engaging mechanics. The story and the artwork are captivating. Overall it’s one of my favorite games.

### 5/5 — Genuinely the best idle game I’ve ever played

*2026-01-12, version 5.0.25*

No ads, reasonable dlc price. This one’s a must play

### 5/5 — Great game

*2026-01-07, version 5.0.25*

Played it before the graphical (and balance?) updates. It’s a lot easier to get drawn into the game now. Pretty fun.

### 5/5 — Absolutely Made With Love

*2025-12-15, version 5.0.25*

I don’t often find cause to leave positive reviews for idle games or games in general on the App Store. Home Quest is on I have played for nearly 3 years and it has been an absolute pleasure to play. It is easily the single best idle/incremental game I’ve played.
