I’ve read where others Home8 never started working as myself after that disastrous day where the equipment failed. When you try to log into your account it will ask for your phone number for it to send an SMS message to register, we’ll that service no longer works and there is no way to log in. They lead me down the wrong path and after a year or so of struggles I finally yanked it out and threw it away. Service was non existent and literally impossible to contact support. The garage door installers helped me set it up when my garage door was installed a few years ago. When using this app, however, I am confronted with a bloated interface, full of buttons and widgets I don’t need. There is no way to customize the busy menu upon launching it. To open the garage door, I have to navigate into the app via 5 clicks or so, as opening the garage door is buried in the interface. Why isn’t there a button RIGHT THERE FOR GARAGE DOOR AS SOON AS I OPEN THE APP??? I have no idea. It often fails to connect to the camera, I have to close and open the program multiple times sometimes to get the camera to connect, if it will at all. Top it off—- the worst part is that for the past 2-3 weeks, I have been unable to log into my account at all! Neither my phone # nor password has changed, but the app tells my my account doesn’t exist. Now it has gone from a poorly performing, poorly designed app, to completely useless! ### 1/5 — Connection issue *2022-06-03* This app is doing nothing beside its said home8. Needs Siri Shortcut support as HomeKit is not supported. Using the third party ITTT is not a suitable workaround. ### 2/5 — Mediocre App *2020-09-21* Use myQ for my Florida garage opener and wish I had that up here in Michigan. This app is just lousy and not intuitive in the least. Camera will just not load and the garage door opening or closing only works when it wants too. MyQ tells me when the garage is open or closed and how long it has been in its current state. There is no way to enter manual SN to register a device. ### 2/5 — Great company, app needs a little work. *2019-07-30* I don’t know if I’m the only one with these issues but I have to get out and back in many times for the cameras to load or the sound to work. After purchasing security system and paying for their cloud services the app stop working over a year ago locking out customers from their security video. Everything is pre-paired. It took me 15mins to set up including download apps into mine and my Dad's smart phone. One of the great function is it supporting many authorized users include my Mom's feature phone with different display names. if I triggered a sensor, the siren, my Dad and my smartphone will give us an alarm and a notification in the same time. My Mom's feature phone will get a phone call alert later on. Then, I found in their website, they do sale IP cameras separately, so I got 2 Wi-Fi cameras last Christmas, each took me 2-3mins to add into the system. The night vision and motion detection feature is pretty cool! If I go outside, I can access those cameras any time to spy on my parents and my cats. The most awesome thing is this time I can receive video alert if a event triggered! I don't think the monthly fee is expensive at all now, it worth,(I did hesitate, but I realized that it just equal 2-3 cups of Starbucks coffee). ### 5/5 — Love it! *2013-05-17, version 1.4.0* This app along with the product is great! It took me only 15 minutes to install a 2-camera/4-sensor TripleShield system and I'm a stay-home mom with little knowledge on electronics! The video feeds to my iPhone are real-time with great quality. Moreover, it's so cool that I can set up my husband as a family user so he can have access too. When he's traveling aboard, this feature comes so handy, especially when you have a 8-month-old baby at home to watch for!
