I just received my sonic alert home aware system and was excited to not only get alerts on the base unit but on my phone too. Then I read on the box you could have it call loved ones in an emergency. So far I haven’t found any way to do that and I have to re-pair the phone and base unit every time I come home or I don’t get alerts on my phone. The app is very disappointing but the home aware II is awesome (although set up is confusing)! **Developer response:** Please ensure that the HomeAware II is updated to the latest firmware with the HomeAware Update menu in the app. You may have to re-pair after the update. Also, for full functionality, the app must be running in the background. Do not clear it from the app tray. Did have any run ins with the aforementioned? What are the PROA and CONS of this very application? A response from regular SonicAlert Portable Alarm Clocks (the ones you put under the pillow or on your person if away from home on a vacation) would be very much appreciated.
