### 2/5 — Hit or miss

*2026-03-15, version 3.0.5*

Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn’t, which is disappointing

### 3/5 — Decent app

*2025-05-07, version 3.0.5*

All I use the app for to is to arm and disarm our (pretty basic) alarm, and it works fine for that purpose. I wish the app wouldn’t tell me I need to log in again every time I open it, though. The pop-up screen has to be cleared, and just seeing the log-in screen would make it clear that step was necessary. If I’m trying to disarm the system in a hurry, this wastes precious time.

### 3/5 — It’s ok.

*2024-11-29*

I wish this app allowed me to set for stay and not just away.

### 2/5 — App not useful

*2022-07-19, version 2.1.4.70*

Have had this app for several years, but recently it will not allow us to log in and set the alarm. Also, when attempting to access the app it doesn’t recognize my email address and doesn’t recognize my login information. How can all this be resolved?

### 2/5 — UPDATE

*2021-01-09, version 2.1.4.70*

This app needs general maintenance, and updating. Works sometimes, but more problems more frequently recently. Just fix it. We pay you to secure our house. It’s easy to find a new provider.

### 1/5 — Horrible—Useless

*2020-08-07, version 2.1.4.70*

If you prefer to use an app instead of the wall unit, go with another company that does not use this app. It often will not set the alarm. So if you have left the house, you must go back and use the wall unit. If you think it has worked, it frequently displays the wrong status. It only has an Away option, so you can’t attempt to use the app when you’ve already climbed in bed. But, if the away option is any indicator, a stay option probably would not work either. Again, if you want to use an App to operate your alarm, choose a security company that does not use this one.

### 1/5 — Garbage

*2020-08-05, version 2.1.4.70*

This thing has never, ever worked. I wish I could give zero stars. And I have paid hundreds and hundreds of dollars to my dealer’s rep to come out and diagnose, upgrade, change components, buy new components, try different methods like cellular versus Wi-Fi, you name it. It has never worked. This app and this alarm system are both garbage.Do you yourself a favor and get Ring or Google Nest. I have zero problems with remote use of those technologies in the same location.By the way, one of the many, many, many things we have done to troubleshoot the system is out of the jumper cable as suggested by the developers and buy one other reviewer here. That also didn’t work.

I also do not get text or email notifications of anyone arming or disarming the panel. Also, I have no history most of the time in the app, even though there were contractors there that I was forced to give the code to on many separate occasions.

As I said, garbage.

### 1/5 — Won’t open

*2020-07-30, version 2.1.4.70*

Useless. Doesn’t respond to password or touch id.

### 1/5 — Piss poor

*2020-02-20, version 2.1.2.27*

Has to be deleted and reinstalled every couple months.

### 2/5 — Okay but.....

*2020-02-19, version 2.1.2.27*

I upgraded from an iPhone 8 to an iPhone 11 iOS 13 and stopped getting notifications from my alarm system. HC Flex doesn’t show up in the Notifications setting at all. I deleted and reinstalled the app but that didn’t change anything. Two stars for a nice alarm control app though.

### 1/5 — The worst mobile app ever

*2020-01-16, version 2.1.2.27*

Nightmare for customers and dealers. App does not update the status if armed/disarmed using the panel, so if your kid disarmed it after the school and forgot to arm it leaving the house, you mobile app will still show your system is armed.
The customer does not exist, as they not talking to the end users and tell you to raise you issue to your security system dealer who have no clue how to support mobile app

### 1/5 — Used to work now it just crashes

*2020-01-15, version 2.1.2.27*

App no longer works.
Help!

### 2/5 — Need a Stay mode on app

*2019-10-08, version 2.1.2.25*

All works with the app except it needs a Stay function when arming. It only arms in away mode. With a dog in the house, I cannot turn on alarm with the app.

### 2/5 — Needs improvements

*2019-10-05, version 2.1.2.25*

Our last system included the time the alarm was set/disarmed in the text notification. There is sometimes a substantial lag time between when the alarm is armed/disarmed and the time I receive the text notification. The actual arm/disarm time stamp would be a helpful improvement. Fixing the lag time would also be an improvement. I also agree with others who say an “away” or “stay” option would be nice. When one of us leaves early and others are still in bed, it would be good to set it to “stay” for them rather than leaving the system off.

### 1/5 — Worst app ever

*2019-10-01, version 2.1.2.25*

This app was barely functional now it does not recognize Touch ID AND NO TEXT ALETS!!!!!!!

Think I will leave the company that is using this app to get better function

### 1/5 — Piece of junk

*2019-09-29, version 2.1.2.25*

Worked fine but today out of nowhere it is not recognizing my credentials which I didn’t change. I uninstalled-reinstalled the app. I changed my password. Neither of those help. If I try to log in online not using the app the login hangs and never finishes. This is hardly security software.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Worse Update ever

*2025-05-24, version 3.0.5*

The old version of the app was very good, not only basic arming and disarming the system, but it also have all the notification history very accurate. Every time there is some alarm triggered immediate notification.

However, you developers messed it up. You remove all the good old versions and updated to this full of bug version, this doesn’t even work for simple notification.
There is no accurate History of arming and disarming.
Notification is literally hit or miss.
And FYI, I check my notification settings my phone settings multiple devices it’s correct.
What an disappointment.

### 1/5 — So light weight

*2025-04-10, version 3.0.5*

App does not provide status on the individual zones/sensors connected to the system. Can’t tell if the front or back door opens. Local installer had no thoughts on how to make it work either.

### 1/5 — Horrible

*2023-09-11, version 2.1.4.70*

Horrible. This is a crappy app that has never worked properly and I’ve had to use it for over 3 years now. It’s always a massive failure.

### 1/5 — Terrible!!

*2023-01-16, version 2.1.4.70*

Used if for a couple years with little trouble. However now I just kicks me out EVERY time I try to log in. So frustrating. I can’t set an alarm, disarm, nor see anything else. This is a terrible AP and I would avoid any company that uses it. Ask first!

### 1/5 — NEVER WORKS RIGHT.

*2022-07-02, version 2.1.4.70*

It’ll say the space is armed when it is not. Never accurate. Really scary for a security app. Fix it!!

### 1/5 — Bad bad bad

*2021-08-20, version 2.1.4.70*

Super bad

### 1/5 — I’d Give Zero stars if possible

*2021-07-31, version 2.1.4.70*

Absolutely the most frustrating and poorly functioning app you can find.

### 1/5 — Worst system ever

*2021-05-02, version 2.1.4.70*

If I can give it zero stars I would. This “app” is crap. Will not engage with the system, even if you are right on top of it. Tech support, or lack there of says I need a new device to connect because my iPhone 12pro is out of date and needs to be upgraded. And if I am so unhappy I can just go out and get something else. This system is a sham!!!!

### 1/5 — The worst!!

*2021-02-20, version 2.1.4.70*

Horrible app!!! Never works!!!

### 1/5 — Review about app

*2020-09-19, version 2.1.4.70*

Dont try to use this app

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Works for me

*2021-09-05, version 2.1.4.70*

I have had this for 6 years on a house in Georgia, and I live n Florida.

It works every time, when someone opens the door in Ga. I am notified immediately, and when they lock and leave I get a notice immediately.

Not sure why these other people are unhappy my first guest it was poorly installed.

### 5/5 — So far, so good

*2017-04-14, version 1.0.73*

I've read the reviews here and haven't experienced any of those things. We just had it installed and have used it. Worked quickly and correctly. Happy so far!

### 4/5 — Password

*2025-03-08, version 3.0.5*

How do I reset the password?

### 4/5 — Nice app… for 2018 (updated from “2014”. They’re getting there)

*2020-05-24, version 2.1.3.08*

UPDATE 3a: Notifications are now working for my wife as well. It seems we had to log out and back into the app. (It also removed the method to turn off and on text message notifications, my wife had those on and we had to remove and re-add her used to make those stop.)

I hope we see Siri support and an Apple Watch app soon. ;-)

UPDATE 3: I don’t know what I did but I have started receiving notifications from the app. However, my wife has not.

UPDATE 2: it’s now supposed to have notifications but I have turned them on and haven’t received any yet.

UPDATE: They added TouchID/FaceID so that’s cool. Three stars now.

This app is great, if it were still 2014. As it is, it works okay at best. I’m glad for the convenience of arming and disarming the system outside the house. However, there are a number of issues.

*No TouchID/FaceID. I’m grateful that I don’t have to reenter in login info but the app would be much more secure with this instead.* Updated October 2018 *

*Notifications. Instead of getting notifications *from the app*, you can get text messages notifying you when the system is armed, disarmed, or triggered. Even worse, each one comes from a different number. So your Messages clutters up with a jillion different “contacts,” a new “contact” every time someone does something with your system. This is so annoying that I have turned it off. A modern app would simply send you a notification. * Updated May 2020 *

It needs an Apple Watch app. When I go out, I don’t always take my iPhone with me, especially for workouts. There isn’t a good reason to not be able to arm/disarm my system with my Apple Watch.

Slowness/syncing. There are other reviews that address this. I have seen times when I’ve armed or disarmed the system but the app took a while longer to show it. Perhaps this is not a problem with the app itself, but communication through the system. Still, it’s frustrating to launch the app and have it be out of sync with the system until I relaunch it or switch tabs.

### 4/5 — Stay Setting?

*2019-11-03, version 2.1.2.27*

The system is easy and straight forward. But is it possible to update the app and add a “Stay” setting?

### 4/5 — Works great with even Tmobile connections

*2019-01-03, version 2.1.1.10*

This application is very light weight and works great with my Honeywell security system. Using advanced programming I found out from technician that it needs an extra jumper cable from the telguard communication device all the way to the Honeywell panel if one has a Tmobile or Verizon mobile connection. Without the jumper cable connecting both devices that arming from the wall Keypad will not be communicated back to the iOS application. If you have any other mobile connection then this jumper cable is not needed. Lot of people may not know this requirement and hence I am posting this review for your benefit. Talk to your technician about this cable if you have a Tmobile or Verizon connection and your app doesn’t update to red lock after arming from keypad on the wall. The app works perfectly as designed.

### 4/5 — Would be 5 but

*2018-12-05, version 2.1.1.10*

I would love to see a way to set, away, home and a panic button right on the app as is I can arm if I’m out of the house but it doesn’t bypass the motion detectors if I’m home and forget I also love the fact that you can set the system to instantly go off if not disarmed before entering, I just wish I could arm it instantly from the app when I leave I whole heartily think if it goes off as soon as the system is tripped it is more of a deterrent
Other wise I like it!!

### 4/5 — Happycustomer18

*2018-05-22, version 2.0.133*

Overall we love it! But, in the recent update I am not a fan of the VERY small yes/no buttons when disarming. Is there anyway to make them bigger or farther apart?

### 4/5 — Useful tool

*2018-04-23, version 2.0.133*

So far I like the app. I need to spend more time going through all of the capabilities but it’s good for me.

### 4/5 — Basic system

*2018-01-24, version 1.0.73*

Good basic system to arm/disarm and for notifications that alarm has activated. Would like to see more bells and whistles as far as a bypass when alarm won’t arm, notification what are is activated/disabled.
