### 1/5 — Unstable app, regularly cannot connect to alarm

I have rated this 1 star because, frankly, something as fundamental as home security cannot be dependent on an App that has anything less than 100% reliability.
My Pyronix system has been installed for 8 months now and on countless occasions I cannot connect to the alarm to arm or disarm it with the Home Control App.
The issue is not to do with my WiFi because every other connected device in the house still works, even those in the vicinity of the alarm.
Despite troubleshooting with the installer these instabilities continue and the root cause seems to always be the app itself.
I can understand if it was an advanced app and there was the occasional bug, but it’s 2023 and I’m fed up with something as basic as the app not allowing me to log in still being a regular problem; users should not have to tolerate such schoolboy failures on a premium product.

### 1/5 — DO NOT BUY PYRONIX ALARMS

If like me you’re looking into getting an alarm - don’t make the mistake I made which is “how bad can an app for an alarm be? It just needs to turn it on/off”. Well…it can’t even do that consistently!

I have spent an extortionate amount on this system. Read all the other reviews. This app has been garbage for years. The only response the developer gives is “please reach out to…”

You pay a fee to use this app annually via your alarm company. Even with that fee, Pyronix have clearly made no effort to resolve this as the app never connects to the panel!

Have an alarm system and can’t even log in to it to arm/ disarm. Constantly says ‘times out.
Easily most unreliable app on both my phone and mg wife’s. 
We will be looking to see what other alternatives can be used. 
This just creates more hassle than it’s worth.

Going to change my alarm provider and hopefully the app. Pet trips the alarm, in a separate issue but the app cannot log in, won’t load, various error messages. Therefore cannot check status of alarm or deactivate. Waste of money paying an extra service change to have my alarm company use this app with my system. Use anything else!

Not sure what is going on really. App was shocking, few updates was perfect. Seems it has recently had an update again, 24 hours now, unable to access alarm system via the app. Not really fit for purpose when it’s listed as security on your home insurance. Not really sure the subscription for the app side of things is really cost effective. Maybe its time for a change.

It’s good when it works but the app constantly throws me in time out once every two days, pleasd can someone fix as it’s very annoying when you’re driving away from your house and your partner has to turn the car around to do the alarm mannully

I’ve used the app for years, it’s always been a bit hit and miss but would work. 

The recent version is so unreliable it’s practically unusable. 

It takes minutes to login to my alarm system and that’s only happening 6/10 times. The other times it won’t connect at all. 

If I do manage to login to my system most times I won’t be able to expand the set modes to show all my devices. 

Given the barrage of similar reviews recently there’s clearly been a change made in the app or their systems that’s causing this.

This all is truly one of the worst doorbell cameras you could have. Never loads and by the time it does the person ringing the doorbell has already left. It also only starts recording if someone rings the doorbell so if they’ve just loitered near your house you won’t see them. It’s so glitchy and it’s honestly just a massive regret.

The app feels unreliable and inconsistent. Notifications sometimes won’t load when opened later, and cameras occasionally disappear from profile. 

There is also significant delay when responding to doorbell notifications, often failing to connect in time. This happens despite having strong 5g and no other connectivity issues: 

Overall the app needs improvement in stability, reliability and response time. 

The products themselves are fab otherwise, the cameras, the car security device. It’s the app that makes the whole brand really frustrating though.
