WE NEED NEW DESIGNS!!! ### 2/5 — Long term not worth it *2026-02-09, version 1.0.8* It was pretty cool for about the first week, but there have been zero improvements to the app since we bought the unit and a very limited selection of the most simplistic designs. Once you have seen each pattern one time there is nothing further to look forward to. We prefer a slower ball speed, but on the slowest of settings (from ~1%-10%ish) the unit sticks after a short while and stops moving, as if the mechanics are not designed to move that slow… if so, then why is that speed even an option on the control?!?! C’mon Homemedic, you have our money already, now do something for it. ### 3/5 — Works fine. Can we please update designs, make them actually searchable. I have an oasis as well and while this one works better, the other one has WAY cooler pictures and options. This is an abandoned product. The patterns are wonderful, but the option to stop in between just does not work for me. I would love to have a look before the next one starts, but no matter what buttons I push I does not pause. But, you can’t search for the names of patterns, there is no way to reorganize them with filters or groupings, it’s a terrible long list. The auto scheduling screen is atrocious in its UI design and is very clunky. The pause in between patterns doesn’t always pause, and is also horrible named/designed, it turns blue and isn’t clear on if it’s pausing or not pausing (even if it did consistently pause on either mode), the support page just says go to the website. The power button doesn’t indicate connection even if the player is running (leaving the house and coming back), you must click it and reconnect and possibly restart your progress. ### 1/5 — Updates? *2025-07-07, version 1.0.8* Does this app ever get updated? Have had this sand table for years and it’s all the same patterns. ### 1/5 — My experience *2025-06-05, version 1.0.8* In the beginning about 4 years ago, the drift was wonderful! 4 years later & counting, it’s doing the same patterns when it said that it will be new ones added. It will not allow me to download anything else. It doesn’t recognize my name or info etc. I bought this thing on a payment plane when it was crazy expensive. Well the whole thing in a nutshell, I’m disappointed. For a lot of money, you should get a lot of standing by the guaranteed promise that Homedics promised the customers that fell for this like I did! I like it, but now, it’s just there with the same 4 year old patterns. ### 1/5 — Dads are great and women are nonexistent on the Drift *2025-05-10, version 1.0.8* First I want to say- I really like the Drift. It’s a great idea. But I’m constantly annoyed by the fact that there are multiple pictures/designs for Father’s Day but none for Mother’s Day. Not at all. (Also, No happy birthday; and the Happy New Year is from 2023.) I am a man fwiw but this is an oversight that seems more than accidental. Tomorrow is Mother’s Day and my wife just had their birthday but I couldn’t put anything on there. I’ve had my drift for almost three years and I hoped this would change. The designs are cool but please fix this. It’s not that hard. One other idea/suggestion: a way to make custom pictures. Another idea: I like doing playlists, but if I do pause between designs, it is useless. It never moves on. How about being able to pause it for a set period of time, then move on? Thank you for your time. ### 1/5 — Worked great until recent software update on iPhone *2025-05-06, version 1.0.8* Worked great until I updated my iPhone to version 18. This app is older than v18 and needs to be updated. I told support a few weeks ago and they claimed no one had reported it not working on iPhone on V18! Great when it works! ### 1/5 — It does not work! *2025-03-15, version 1.0.8* This was given to me as a present and the app cannot connect to the device. I’m able to connect to it via Bluetooth on my iPhone and iPad but the app will not move beyond the connect screen. There are also only two non-responsive buttons on the power cable, so NOTHING works. It’s 2026, if you don’t mind paying big bucks for outdated art, basic holidays not included and an app that is over a yr old ladened with bugs then go for it. If you have a need for more stress this is the product for you. Otherwise save your $$$ and go with a company that updates and cares about their product functionality and usability putting the customer first. No new patterns in years! No new update in years!! Please update the software, would love to rate 5 stars… ### 1/5 — App Needs Help! *2026-01-09, version 1.0.8* Have issues with some of the designs, one “galactic” won’t even download at all, Mantis has no picture displayed, with some designs not even loaded right and look like a bad design or a faulty table. PLEASE FIX THIS!!! It would also be great to design our own images too, your customers want this feature HoMedics! ### 1/5 — Terrible *2025-12-29, version 1.0.8* The app is terrible. It rarely works and, lately, it won’t even connect to my sand table. The customer service is even worse—they told me my Drift is out of warranty and that I’m simply out of luck, despite the app constantly crashing and failing to function properly. This has made the product nearly unusable. (Assuming you are still have plans to create new patterns and updates in the future) Would love to get this for my mother for Mother’s Day with a MOTHERS DAY pattern etched out in the sand. ### 5/5 — Gotta leave an honest review *2023-06-24, version 1.0.6* I always wanted one of these, and my local Bed Bath and Beyond is going out of business, so they had these for a great price and I picked one up ($250, 16”). I was worried, reading reviews about the app, but I gotta say, the Drift and the app have worked flawlessly (this is after about 6 hours of nonstop use). I’ve tried several patterns, and this thing is amazing. It’s quick to respond to input, it’s intuitive and easy. And the table is mesmerizing. Might go pick ups some more to give as gifts. I thought he could bring it to his office and it would be a neat conversation piece. But I really love it, too. So he decided to leave it at home so we can all enjoy it! And we do! I’ve played with the colors and we change the design daily. (we set up a schedule- it turns off at 10:30pm and wipes the old design. At 5am it turns on and creates the new design we picked the night before. When we’re up at 6am, the new design is ready. Very cool feature). If we don’t really like how the design played out on the Drift, we just open the app and pick a new one. Very simple! I have the iPhone 14 Pro. And I’ve never had an issue with the Drift app. My husband has a Samsung Galaxy (not sure on the model). His phone is a few years old. And he has no problem with the Drift app. We love ours 😊 ### 5/5 — Love it *2023-01-08, version 1.0.5* Great app for a great product.
