## What is HOMEHEALTH4U?

Homehealth care agencies across the country are fighting lower reimbursements and staffing crisis while caring for their patients. Any home health care agency spends numerous hours calling, texting, and emailing necessary information to their field staff daily while busy caring for their patients. These tasks often cause distractions & confusion, which can compromise quality patient care, lower patient satisfaction, delay in reimbursement, and a spike in operational expenses. Furthermore, The Request for Anticipated Payment (RAP) submission timeline effective Jan 1st, 2021, is five calendar days from the SOC. The RAP submission requirements such as completed OASIS, Physician orders, Plan of care have to be met by home healthcare agencies. Suppose any agencies fail to meet these set requirements, and timelines won't be met. In that case, it might lead to penalties for cash flow issues, Compliance Risk, and Productivity concerns for home healthcare agencies. 

The national average for submitting RAPs has been 12 days from the SOC. The first penalty on failure to submit a RAP timely would be equivalent to 17% of the episodic payment, and in case of a LUPA, all visits performed prior to the submission of the RAP will not be reimbursed.
