The constantly growing product range of Homematic IP includes devices for climate control, security, weather, light and shutter control applications as well as various accessory components. The climate control devices offer demand-based room-by-room control of radiators throughout the entire house, enabling users to save up to 30 % on their energy costs. And also floor heating systems can efficiently be controlled with Homematic IP products. No movement goes unnoticed with the security components. Users are informed whenever windows and doors are opened. One look at the app is enough to find out that everything is all right at home. Comfort is enhanced with switching and dimming actuators for light control as well as products for automation of shutters and blinds. All Homematic IP devices for brand switches can be easily integrated into the design of existing switch series using our adapters. For operation, a Homematic IP Access Point in connection with the Homematic IP app (no recurring costs) is required. Once installed, the system can be controlled comfortably via app, remote control or wall-mounted push-button. In addition, the combination of almost all devices and conditions of various application areas is possible. Therefore, the Homematic IP app offers pre-programmed functionalities as well as the configuration of individual automation rules. There are virtually no limits to the users’ creative leeway. Another benefit is offered by controlling the system using voice control services like Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. Single devices are configured by the Homematic IP cloud service, which is run exclusively on servers located in Germany and therefore complies with European and German data protection guidelines. All data stored in the Homematic IP cloud is completely anonymous. However, it does not permit any conclusion about the user’s identity and the individual usage behaviour. Furthermore, all communication between the Access Point, cloud and app is encrypted. As neither during nor after installation of the app you will need to provide private data such as name, email address or mobile phone number, your anonymity is protected 100%. Heating and climate control Homematic IP offers demand-based control of radiators room-by-room in the entire house, enabling increased living comfort and energy savings of up to 30 %. The Homematic IP Window / Door Contact detects open windows and doors and automatically turns down the heating during ventilation. Afterwards, your heating will be controlled automatically and makes the everyday life easier. Light and shade Comfortable switching and dimming of lights creates a sense of well-being in your home. Thus, a comfortable atmosphere for your TV evening is created via the app as the ceiling light is dimmed to a desired brightness level while the floor lamp is switched on. Also, the sense of security is increased with an illuminated driveway or house façade in the evening. Shutters and blinds darken rooms, create a sense of privacy and increase the security. The actuators are controlled comfortably via individual week profiles, also depending on the sunrise and sunset. Furthermore, active shutters and blinds make the home look inhabited even if you are not at home. Security and alarms In alarm mode, users are informed whenever windows and doors are opened. Motion detectors offer reliable monitoring in inside and outside areas while sirens and smoke alarms trigger an alarm in case of break-ins or fire. Sie läuft sehr flüssig und zuverlässig – Abstürze oder größere Probleme hatte ich bisher keine. Die Einrichtung und Steuerung des Smart-Home-Systems funktionieren insgesamt sehr gut und machen im Alltag Spaß. Ein kleiner Kritikpunkt ist das Design: Die App wirkt stellenweise etwas funktional und könnte moderner gestaltet sein. Besonders auf dem Tablet würde ich mir eine übersichtlichere Ansicht wünschen, zum Beispiel eine Gesamtübersicht, in der alle Räume auf einen Blick sichtbar sind. Das würde die Bedienung noch komfortabler machen. Insgesamt aber eine sehr solide und empfehlenswerte App, die technisch überzeugt und mit ein paar optischen Verbesserungen nahezu perfekt wäre. ### 4/5 — Funktionale App, eines fehlt mir noch … *2025-12-01* Gut und durchdacht; funktional sowie intuitiv zu bedienen. Die folgende Rezension bezieht sich auf die Steuerung der Heizkörper: Schnell und easy einzurichten, nutzerfreundlich durchdacht, mit mehreren Heiz-Szenen pro Raum. Das passt. WAS mir FEHLT: Szenarien orientieren sich ggf. nach Anwesenheit von Personen im Haus: z. B. 1.) Standard (tagsüber außer Haus zur Arbeit) 2.) HomeOffice/krank/= auch tagsüber zuhause 3.) Übernachtungs-Gäste im Haus etc. - Wenn ich also HAUS-Szenarien anwählen könnte, welche verschiedene Raum-Szenarien zusammenfassen, wäre das sehr hilfreich. Gemeint sind bspw. drei Haus-Szenarien welche unterschiedliche Profile der Heizkörper/Räume mit einem Klick (zusammengefasst/in einem) ansteuern können, da ich aus o.g. Gründen verschiedene Räume gleichzeitig unterschiedlich nutze. ### 5/5 — Einfach zu bedienen *2024-12-02* Alle wichtigen Informationen sind übersichtlich dargestellt und zu bedienen. ### 5/5 — Anzeige Jalousieaktor *2024-11-17* Mit der App bin ich soweit zufrieden. Einfach zu bedienen und die Einrichtung der Jalousieaktoren war einfach. Ein kleiner Mangel liegt in der Anzeige der geschlossenen Jalousien. Im Raum mit 2 Jalousien wird leider nur ein Symbol angezeigt wenn beide geschlossen sind. Hier muss man immer erst nachschauen ob auch beide geschlossen sind, wenn man nicht zu Hause ist. Das gleiche ist bei den Steckdosen, wenn diese aktiviert sind. Vielleicht kann man hier noch etwas nacharbeiten. ### 5/5 — Seit Update kein Alarmton *2024-08-16* Ich war bis jetzt immer zufrieden mit der App, Seit dem letzten Update bekomme ich im Alarmfall nur einen leisen Push up Ton obwohl ich einen lauten Sound in der App eingestellt habe. Nach Kontakt mit der Hotline wurde mir gesagt das mit dem nächsten Update dieser Fehler behoben wird dieses soll in etwa vier bis acht Wochen erscheinen. Das ist ja wohl ein Witz, erstmal sollte man vielleicht die Funktionen prüfen bevor man ein Update auf den Markt bringt, und dann wenn man es schon bemerkt hat das Fehler entstanden sind nicht sofort reagiert. Ihr Homematic IP Team ### 2/5 — Das Upgrade geht gar nicht, die App ist die schlechteste auf dem Markt. *2024-08-12* Mit dem Upgrade wird ein falscher Status der Akteure auf dem Homescreen dargestellt. Die alte App auf dem iPhone zeigt das korrekt an. Die Hintergründe sind unzumutbar. Die Schalter auf dem Homescreen sind viel zu klein. Ich musste eine neue Fernbedienung einlernen, viel zu umständlich, die Informationen bunt verteilt, Benutzerfreundlich ist anders. Ich nutze Homematic nur wegen der Hut-Akteure also zum Strom schalten, das geht grad noch so weil wenn eingerichtet kaum genutzt. Ihr Homematic IP Team ### 1/5 — broken after recent update - language problems *2024-07-10, version 3.0.12* if my iPhone's main language is set to Hungarian (magyar), then the app shows only a grey screen if the iPhone's main language is set to English, it works fine fix this issue pls, I want to use my phone on my native language thx! ### 2/5 — Schlechte Usability *2024-02-20* Usability- und UI-technisch noch viel Raum für Verbesserung. Die App sieht sehr altbacken aus und viele Funktionen sind extrem versteckt. Bitte stellt ein paar UX und UI Designer:innen ein. Für mich problematisch: (1) „Basics“ und „Gruppen“ sind sehr prominente Menüpunkte, obwohl sie für mich keinerlei Mehrwert haben. (2) Sehr unituitiv was die 4 Icon-Buttons oben in Home tun. Hier sind Aktionen und Status vermischt. (3) Die Icons sind ohne Textlabel nicht verständlich Zudem funktionieren die Homescreen Widgets nicht, erhalte nur Fehlermeldungen. Schade… (4) Es ist nicht möglich eine Automatisierung einzurichten, die mich nach einer bestimmten Dauer daran erinnert mein Fenster wieder zu schließen. Das wäre im Winter wirklich wichtig. Oft steht das Badfenster nach dem Duschen den gesamten Vormittag offen, weil ich vergesse das es geöffnet ist. Kann zwar eine Warnung einstellen, wenn es geöffnet ist, das bringt mir aber nix, da ich erst gewarnt werden will, wenn das Fenster zu lange geöffnet ist. (5) Super versteckte Aktionen: auf dem Ort tippen, um Ort zu wechseln (warum kein Icon als Indikator? Grad sieht es überhaupt nicht interaktiv aus (6) Echt schwer zu finden, dass man zum Bearbeiten und Löschen oft seitlich swipen muss. Für Barrierefreiheit muss da noch einiges umgebaut werden. Juni 2025 müssen alle Endkundenprodukte barrierefrei sein, falls ihr das noch nicht auf dem Schirm habt ✌️ ### 5/5 — Nach update keine Funktion mehr *2023-12-22* Hallo liebes Team alles klappte bis zum letzten Update vor ein paar Tagen alles bestens. Nun versucht die App seit Tagen eine Verbindung zum Server herzustellen leider ohne Erfolg. Wir wollten wie sonst auch wenn wir unterwegs waren unsere Wohnung kuschelig warm vor finden. Ohne Erfolg. Über die App dem Support eine Nachricht zu senden funktioniert auch nicht mehr. Wir sind mit unserem Latein am Ende 😩 Bitte 🙏 es wäre super wenn ihr alles wieder so herrichten könntet wie es war. Dann würden wir gerne mehr als 5 Sterne vergeben. ### 4/5 — Philips hue Integration ist super Sache! *2022-11-23* Dass seit dem letzten Update bis zu 5 Philips hue Lampen eingebunden werden können, hat mich echt gefreut. Jetzt genügt abends ein Druck auf den Lichtschalter und alle Rollläden gehen runter und alle Lampen aus, inklusive der hue Leuchten im Garten und im Wohnzimmer. Das Homematic IP System funktioniert hervorragend und ich habe jede Menge schöne Automationen im Einsatz. Die App selbst könnte noch etwas übersichtlicher sein. Zum Beispiel in der Raum-Ansicht: wenn man ein paar Schalter, Rollos und ne Heizung hat, passt das locker auf eine Seite. Finde es etwas umständlich, immer über Raum > Beleuchtung zu gehen. Gut wäre zudem ein konfigurierbarer Start-Bildschirm, auf dem man wichtige Funktionen und Ansichten oben anpinnen kann.
