### 1/5 — Horrible

*2023-07-28, version 1.2*

What this App can do: track hours over a pay period.

What this app can’t do: add a break in the middle of hours, log in with Face ID, log in without having to open the browser and log into your account, view the timesheet after you’ve submitted it, access any documents, change any information, get reminder notifications to submit your timesheet, control anything post-submit time if your timesheet.

The app is useless and the website isn’t much better.

### 1/5 — Not good….

*2023-07-15, version 1.2*

The images displayed for the app preview show that you can see previously sumbit hours, etc. However, the app only lets you log hours. There is nowhere to view past timesheets, paystubs, etc. This is quite frustrating and inconvenient!
Logging hours into the homepay website doesn’t seem to be much better. I can’t view my paystubs anywhere even though I got an email stating it was available… my employer and I just started using homepay and I have a feeling we won’t be using it for long!

### 1/5 — Worst app

*2023-02-25, version 1.2*

I’m sorry if I work for someone else and they use this app I will not be accepting the job I have bills to pay to be fooling with this stupid app

### 1/5 — NEEDS AN UPDATE

*2023-02-17, version 1.2*

It keeps lagging when I enter my hours and freezes causing me to force close the app and it logs me off right after each time!!

### 1/5 — Terrible

*2023-01-14, version 1.2*

Before I could log in without a problem but not anymore now I Can’t log in! Every time that i am trying to log in it tells me that is Beta and it’s not available for employees yet!

### 1/5 — Zero stars should be an option

*2022-10-29, version 1.2*

This app is such garbage that I won’t be excepting jobs from people who do their payroll through it anymore. I’ve spent more unpaid time on the phone with their tech support than I care to think about.

### 1/5 — Terrible 0 Stars

*2022-09-28, version 1.2*

This app works less than a quarter of the time, it is a constant headache.

### 1/5 — I would give this 0 stars if I could

*2022-07-09, version 1.2*

The worst UX I have seen in a long time- literally no rhyme or reason. Impossible to log in and it doesn’t recognize CAPTCHA guesses. I went to my inbox and I had 9 emails from HomePay in my spam folder. Spoiler alert- NONE OF THEM WERE HELPFUL. Endlessly frustrating experience but I guess I’m stuck with it. DO NOT RECOMMEND.

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work!

*2022-07-01, version 1.2*

Worst app ever!!!Won’t let me log my hours in and when I do it just spins and spins and spins and never does anything after that. I even called care.com and they said they’re app has problems and to use a desk top to log in my hours! Oh and I can’t view my paystub either! Get with the with program people!

### 1/5 — How do I establish an account and why no iPad version

*2022-01-08, version 1.2*

New user. Downloaded app and there is no create account button. Running on iPad but clearly built for an iPhone. Off to a weak start

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Nothing useful about it

*2025-08-30, version 2.0.1*

The app is literally ONLY a link to the main website where you then sign in. As long as you are able to get to the website you truly don’t need the app.

### 1/5 — Terrible would not recommend

*2025-08-06, version 2.0.1*

I downloaded this app because this is where I was told to get my paystub’s. I’ve tried logging into this app multiple times many different ways from this app and on the website and I still cannot view my paystub. This has been going on for quite a while now and no one ever responds and there’s no way around it because I work for care. If I knew this, I would have never joined care or this company.

### 1/5 — Nowhere to put hours

*2025-04-18, version 2.0.1*

I’ve been thru every tab on this app, there’s nowhere for me to put my hours. I worked m-f this week and have to submit the hours by 11:59 tonight. I’m getting nervous because I need this money asap and can’t wait until the next “pay period”. I was on the phone over an hour to get help with nothing .

### 1/5 — Hello?

*2025-02-04, version 2.0.1*

Wont even let me login. Won’t recognize my password, even though it directly says it’s same password as care.com.

### 1/5 — Useless

*2024-09-08, version 1.2*

Can’t see any info at all besides adding and submitting one weekly timesheet.

### 1/5 — This app is a joke

*2024-08-30, version 1.2*

Can’t say much about the app because I can’t even log into it

### 1/5 — Won’t let me logon

*2024-06-18, version 1.2*

This app Won’t let me logon.

### 1/5 — Won’t let you put correct hours and now won’t let me log in

*2023-11-08, version 1.2*

I worked from the hours of 6pm to 12am but the app won’t let me enter that, when I put that I started at 6pm it’s fine but as soon as I put the time I ended at 12am it says “start time should be before end time” but it is before my end time I start at 6 pm and end at 12am I can’t put my hours in correctly and now I tried to log in 3 hours later and it won’t let me, it says it’s only for beta users but it let me log in earlier today. They really need to work on this app, all I’m seeing are negative reviews about this app

### 1/5 — Useless

*2023-10-27, version 1.2*

Though HomePay is a great company to use for Nanny Payroll, their app is completely useless.

It would appear to have only purpose,
which is to redirect Users to their website log-in page.
(Why waste phone storage on a redirect?)

When a User attempts to do anything other than log-in on the webpage to which this app directs them, they are met with the following script: “

“ This app is currently only available for participants of our Beta program. Stay tuned as we work to make it available to all HomePay employees and employers. “

The app’s complete uselessness undermines confidence in the company (HomePay) by sending regular emails requesting those being paid via their services to:

If I believed the only way to be paid accurately by HomePay was through use of this app, I would terminate my association with them immediately.

HomePay would be wise to distance themselves from this failure and remove it from the App Store.

Yes, it *is* that bad.

### 1/5 — Won’t let me log in

*2023-09-01, version 1.2*

This app need some work always giving problems

## Most praised reviews (4 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Great for timekeeping

*2026-05-11, version 3.0.0*

Used for Nanny timekeeping simple and fast!

### 2/5 — Loading…

*2025-05-16, version 2.0.1*

Stuck on loading screen. The app won’t load.

### 2/5 — Frustrated

*2023-08-09, version 1.2*

The app stalls out regularly
Often stalls out when I’m trying to submit my hours, doesn’t submit them and then my pay ends up reduced. Would love for you guys to work out more of the kinks and bugs in this, so that it can actually be worth my time to track my hours as a nanny this way.

### 2/5 — Primitive

*2023-02-10, version 1.2*

Doesn’t allow you to add more than one time slot per day, so if you worked 9-10 and then 3-4, you have to enter 9-11 to get 2 full hours. Doesn’t let you look back on past weeks. Doesn’t let you see if your submission went through when the paycheck doesn’t arrive the following week. Literally only lets you enter hours.
