## What is Homer?

Homer is a feed of colour palettes. Open it, swipe, and keep swiping.

Every palette is generated, not collected. Eight thousand of them, a thousand in each of the eight colour feeds, and no committee picked any of them.

SWIPE
Up and down moves through palettes. Left and right changes the feed. That is the whole navigation.

ELEVEN FEEDS
For You, Pastel, Neon, Earth, Mono, Gradient, Vintage and Midnight for colour. Then Gradients, Animations and Fonts — 146 art-style posters with bundled typefaces across eight clusters. Each feed generates inside its own range, so a feed always looks like itself.

TAP A BAND
Read the name, the HEX, the RGB and the HSL. Copy one colour with a tap, or copy all five at once. Check WCAG contrast, simulate colour blindness, see harmonies and CSS colour names, or pick an accent.

GRADIENTS
Nudge the angle, extract a palette, shuffle, name and export.

FONTS
146 posters across eight art clusters, each carrying three bundled typefaces — headline, body, accent — that show the style, with the full headline set in readable text. Every poster recolours with any palette from the app through five role masks, and palette swatches sit under the card; save or share a poster you like.

ANIMATIONS
Swipe through animation recipes and watch each one run.

SAVE WHAT YOU LIKE
Press and hold anywhere to keep a palette. Tag it, sort and filter, group into collections, spot duplicates, export in a batch. Saved palettes stay on your device.

SIGN IN ONLY IF YOU WANT TO
Everything above works without an account. Sign in with Apple once and your saved palettes come back on your next phone. Saving is the only thing that ever asks, cancelling costs you nothing, and you can delete the account from inside Homer whenever you like.

NO OTHER PEOPLE
No profile, no likes, no comments, no strangers. With an account Homer stores which palettes you kept and nothing else: no name, no email address, no colours, no analytics, no tracking, no ads. Signed out it sends nothing anywhere and works with the network switched off.

Made for designers, developers, illustrators, and anyone who needs a colour they have not thought of yet.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.5.1 — 2026-10-17

The Fonts feed is now one surface.

The Posters feed is now the Fonts feed: every poster shows its headline, body and accent font.
The old 12-pairing Fonts feed is gone.

### 1.5.0 — 2026-10-06

The poster feed is redesigned.

Posters now show their full headline, with text that stays readable on every poster.
Palette swatches sit under each poster.
Save and share the posters you like.
A better layout on small iPhones.

### 1.4.0 — 2026-09-23

The poster feed now holds 146 posters, one for each art style across eight clusters.

Each poster carries three bundled typefaces — headline, body, accent — that show the style.
Every poster recolours with any palette from the app through five role masks.
The specimen text sits in a measured type block on every poster.

The 200 type families bundled in 1.3.0 are still here.

### 1.3.0 — 2026-09-11

Four new feeds sit beside the palettes: Gradients, Fonts, Animations and Posters.

GRADIENTS: nudge the angle, extract a palette from any gradient, shuffle, name it, export it.
FONTS: an endless feed of font pairings, each drawn in its own typeface, with export.
ANIMATIONS: swipe through animation recipes and watch them run.
POSTERS: 200 type families laid out on 96 poster designs that recolour with every palette.

Colour tools on every palette: a WCAG contrast check, colour-blindness simulation, harmonies, CSS colour names and an accent picker.
Saved palettes gain tags, sort and filter, collections, duplicate detection and batch export.
A feedback button now sits in the bottom bar.

Still no ads, no tracking, and no account needed.

### 1.2.0 — 2026-08-28
