However, more often than not, we can’t do the books and videos that go with our lessons because the app fails to load. Fear not, it may be a very easy fix. Some of the videos in the app are served up by YouTube, while many of them are hosted by Vimeo. If you have websites blocked on your child’s device, you may just need to “allow” them to get the app to play the content. In my case, I had all websites blocked, except for those that I’ve explicitly allowed, and Vimeo was one that was blocked since my child has not really needed to access it until now. So, I just had to navigate to Vimeo.com in the browser on my child’s iPad and enter my code to unblock the website and then return to the app and voila, all content plays now. You may need to do the same for YouTube.com. A note to the developers, it would be nice if the pages in the app where the videos are played could display the same message as the browser in the scenario described above, so it’s obvious to the user why the videos are not playing. Perhaps you could figure out how to fix that. :) Aside from that, it’s a very helpful app that works quite well, great job, our family appreciates all you do! ### 5/5 — Updated review *2025-05-02, version 1.6.3* Update: The issue resolved and I have been able to use the app again. I do appreciate the tremendous value and quality of this curriculum. We recently loved the Haddie’s Hidden Garden audiobook story in the 1st grade language arts. Original review: I’ve been using this app for a couple years and now it won’t work anymore because it is forcing me to login and then I try to and it won’t let me. Not that it rejects my password or gives an error, it just refuses to load after putting in all the sign up info. Also, why is my phone number required? I don’t like that at all. Seems very unnecessary. The Good and the Beautiful has been excellent for him. The Reading Booster Cards and Reading Booster Books paired with this fun app has been key. My son likes the games a lot and they help reinforce all he has learned. I appreciate that the games are both simple and lovely to use. We also enjoy the videos and audiobooks.
