AI isn’t very good. It can’t read scanned documents to upload a schedule from my curriculum. AI is just not up to par. Lots of errors. If you put everything in manually it’s ok. I don’t like I can’t adjust the colors. I hate the mauve pink everywhere. This app needs work. Absolutely worth the cost if it worked well and has some adjustments. As is, I feel like this should be a free or cheap beta version. Not worth it, yet. I’ll check back in a year or so and see if it’s better.

Before purchases, users can only have one student on their plan, to add any more children it requires a very expensive subscription. I can’t access enough in the free version to see if I want to subscribe. Waste of time.

I love this app for our home buuut I do wish there was a YouTube video on how to use the features. I cannot find where my documents are scanned into so I can submit to Florida if needed. Also, I would give anything to be able to have the lessons separated by folders for each subject. Right now I have 120+ lessons all together. It is a pain. But other than that, I love the app

Two of your three points have progress to share: (1) Documents got a big update since version 1.19 of the app we moved from the old grid view to a cleaner list view and added tags so you can label documents by subject, term, or whatever makes sense for your Florida reporting. Scanned documents live under each student's checklist and are now much easier to find and filter. (2) On lesson organization at 120+ lessons, the new tag system also extends to lessons so you can filter and group. Not full folders yet, but a meaningful step in that direction, with deeper subject-based grouping on the roadmap. (3) YouTube tutorials are still in progress; we're recording walkthroughs of the most-asked-about features. While I’m not a parent myself, I’ve worked with many students. Some of my students are homeschooled and others are not, however I would say the homeschool planner app is so good that it could be implemented into schools and the students would benefit from it.

One of my favorite features is the Ai lesson planner feature, where you can tell the Ai what you would like to review/practice and it can create a worksheet for your student instantly!

Overall, a great app, I would recommend it to any parent who homeschools!

This app is insanely difficult to navigate. It is NOT user friendly. I was able to get a lesson plan on the calendar but you can’t open the lesson plan. It says “ four items to be completed” but doesn’t allow you to open the items. It doesn’t allow you to adjust times without deleting an entire lesson plan. You can’t add more than one lesson plan. So I have language arts on the calendar but it won’t let me add math because of the conflicting times but there’s not an option to adjust the time for the new lesson plan. 🤷‍♀️

Lesson rows now tap-to-expand so you can see the description and open every work item directly from the checklist. We added a "pull forward" feature so you can move lesson events to a different date with an optional cascade shift. So no more deleting plans to reschedule. And time conflicts between lesson plans now auto-retry and resolve instead of blocking you. We also rebuilt the lesson save flow and added pull-to-refresh across the parent app. We'd love for you to try the current version of the app (1.47) and if anything still feels off, please email us at support@homeschoolplanner.com and we'll help directly. Thank you for the detailed bug report; it genuinely helped us prioritize this cluster of fixes.

This app is everything a homeschool mom needs to make homeschooling a breeze. It’s packed with wonderful features that let you hit the ground running from day one. I’m blown away by how simple yet powerful it is. With this app, I can easily schedule my child’s classes, and it automatically rearranges them whenever I need to make changes—saving me so much time when figuring out how to make up missed lessons or appointments. It also has a built-in gradebook, lets me track attendance, and generates detailed reports. Best of all, when I’m short on time, I can instantly create worksheets for all subjects!
