Often, the website also won’t log in when this happens- so there’s no way to transfer money or check your balance when it has “unknown errors.” Frustratingly, this sometimes happens when everyone gets paid- Fridays and the first of the month. This of course means waiting to pay bills and do your budget if it randomly fails. While Homestreet has good banking-related customer service, the IT side of things is not helpful. I’ve gotten the impression that reps have no way of fixing- or even reporting- ongoing issues like this. The “search” feature to look for specific transactions on the app is awful, and has none of the helpful features that the website has. You can deposit checks, see your balances, change card security settings, and all the other basics for mobile banking. Since then the login has been sporadically successful. Of course, the same credentials continue to work on the website. However, the app was always significantly better than the Website experience. Now it’s unreliable and usually not accessible. When I’m scrolling down in my account and if I did little bit too fast it’s reset and I am not where I was in scrolling. Also. I would say it is my phone but happens to a coworker’s Android with similar frequency. Also don’t assume CDs will renew with similar rate. They will switch to a different term with a ridiculously lower rate, 1/22nd as much in my case. I was out of town and didn’t see new rate until it was too late. Legal, sure. I love homestreet but a bug this bad in the context of running a business is insanely unacceptable. I hope one day to change this to 5 stars. You need to fix this. ### 1/5 — Log-in issues *2023-10-26* I’ve been a Homestreet customer for over 30 years. I’ve always had great service in person. The mobile app is extremely frustrating. I am constantly locked out of my account. I am constantly getting authenticate messages, then locked out and have to call customer service. I’m treated like it’s my fault, suggesting I’m entering the wrong password. After reading through other reviews, it appears the face log on has glitches and is likely causing these issues. Always a fire burning. It does feel like Home. My husband passed away. I moved and Wedgewood Homestreet was chosen as my new Bank. Everyone always knew the answers I needed. Everybody was always kind and thorough for me although I did see them do the same for other people!!!! When I hear other people unhappy with their bank, I asked them if they’d like a suggestion. And if they say yes, they get my feelings of Homestreet Bank. Wedgewood. My appreciation of the Manager Gina. And my gratefulness for Homestreet Customer Care. Thankfully they have a good sense of humor.
