## What is HomeWave?

HomeWave is a fully customizable remote control app for use with MiCasaVerde's Vera home control system (Z-Wave), and also compatible with OpenLuup. The control panel presents a clean, simple interface aimed at end users who are not familiar with Z-Wave or Vera, but who simply want to turn on the lights or adjust the heating.

HomeWave will work on your LAN as well as remotely via the MIOS / GetVera gateway service.  Most popular Z-wave devices are supported.

Note that HomeWave (unlike other Z-Wave apps) does not display all your Z-Wave devices by default!  When you first launch the app, you'll start with a clean slate; you will have to manually add those Z-Wave devices you wish to control from the app.

It does what it claims to do. Because I could build my own custom interface to control all my Vera controlled devices this app has been key in keeping me content. 

But now it seems I’ll soon be stepping up to the Ezlo controller. Will this app still work?  I sure hope so.

Unlike others, this app used to work adequate for me ... until iOS 14 came out.  Now, it won’t even start up.  iPhone version still works, though.

The program is very old. It does not work reliably, and looks lousy, on modern devices. Those who still use it are surely people who bought it years ago and are reluctant to move on because of the countless hours they have invested in the primitive task of building up its screens.

On iPhones with the notch, the setting are too high (maybe not relative to the safe area). Because of this, it is a nightmare to change settings because buttons do not react

Don’t waste your money. It doesn’t work. I have a Vera controller running UI5 and it won’t connect to my device. Shouldn’t have wasted $2.

I’ve been using HomeWave for years on multiple devices. Two old devices are permanently installed in my house with HomeWave always running. 

It would be great to expand to Apple Watch. There are certain commands we use regularly that I would love to have available on the watch.
