Show months in English on Energy tab. ### 2/5 — Non intuitive et des langues mélangées *2026-03-06* Une n-ième application de domotique, et franchement pas la meilleure… il y a des erreurs dans la gestion des traductions. Les mois apparaissent en… je ne sais quelle langue mais pas la mienne. On doit aller dans 2 endroits de l’app différents pour voir la consommation d’énergie d’un seul appareil plutôt que de le proposer directement via l’appareil comme le propose LG par exemple. Les temps de chargement sont longs également. Les notifications franchement pas utiles (exemple : me directement via l’appareil que j’ai ouvert la porte de mon sèche linge… super. Ou me notifier à chaque « sous-cycle » du cycle plutôt que juste à la fin du cycle global… bref. Chiant. Merci. ### 1/5 — Unable to add appliance to app via Bluetooth. *2026-03-04, version 3.1.34* Have attempted to add my Beko washer to the app via Bluetooth, however app isn’t picking up the connecting although washer is in Bluetooth sync mode. Furthermore, when using the app to ‘contact us’ I doesn’t allow me to submit, so therefore there’s no way to contact HomeWhiz for troubleshooting and you won’t be able to seek assistance if having issues. ### 1/5 — Used to work but. Ow doesn’t connect to washer *2026-03-02, version 3.1.34* The app used to connect to my Beko washer but now says that the remote control is not turned on even though it is connected to the WiFi network and the remote control has been enabled. I get the same result from my iPad and iPhone ### 1/5 — Rubbish! *2026-02-26, version 3.1.34* Went to register, sent a 6 digit code which I entered correctly and promptly told I hadn’t…then timed out! But dodgey in places but worked. Recent update has killed it on a 17 Pro Max. Keeps crashing whenever you try to load it up. ### 2/5 — OK app but odd English *2026-02-16, version 3.1.34* It’s a Turkish company but I thought the translation to English would be better. I’ve set my region to United Kingdom and everything is in English except for the months are in Turkish when using the consumption menu and the currency is euros or dollars. Also some error messages are in Turkish. The app does work fine but I’ve had to learn some Turkish to use it. ### 3/5 — Complicated Setup *2026-02-11, version 3.1.34* I’ve finally got it working. You have to press Remote Control button on the machine twice so that both the WiFi icon and Phone icon are displayed. Then you can control the machine using the App. I’m guessing this is a security feature but makes the App useless as you are already at the machine. Still, nice to keep an eye on my washing progress. ### 1/5 — Load of Rubbish *2026-02-05, version 3.1.34* My experience with the HomeWhiz app has been poor. It’s just a load of rubbish. One of these apps where you have to guess how it works. User unfriendly. You may as well walk to the washing machine and just turn it on, press play and get in with your life instead of ******* around with a ****app. ### 1/5 — Useless *2026-02-02, version 3.1.33* I bought a Beko washing machine specifically for the app, however it doesn’t work it closes down everytime I try to select a cycle. I have emailed support over a month ago and still awaiting a response. ### 1/5 — Won’t accept product *2026-01-25, version 3.1.33* App refuses to accept the product number which I know is correct. The contact form on the app refuses to send the contact form on their website refuses to send along with an error message from captch. So for me, the app is absolutely totally useless. Have reported a hot point that does not work with their machine. ### 1/5 — Szkoda czasu. *2026-01-22, version 3.1.33* Totalnie nieużyteczna rzecz. Problemy z aplikacją. Aplikacja sie nie uruchamia. Czasami sie dała uruchomić po zresetowaniu urządzenia mobilnego co wiązało sie z restartem kilka razy w tygodniu. Częsta utrata polaczenia z urządzeniem którym miała sterować. Po zmarnowaniu wielu dni na rozwiazanie problemu pozostaje przy programach prania i suszenia z panelu urządzenia a aplikację usunąłem. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Sign up email confirmation is broken *2026-06-21, version 3.2.1* Downloaded this app to use with a new washing machine. You have to validate your account with a code, this has a timer on of 180 seconds, however the email with the code does not arrive within that time zone you can’t sign up. Really poor given that this is a technical requirement. 1 star, would give zero if it was an option. ### 1/5 — Absolutely rubbish *2026-06-14, version 3.2.1* Tried several times with our new yogurt maker. Finds the device but after attempting to pair, it just pops up with a message saying there was an error. Too frustrated to keep trying after many attempts on different devices - iPhone 13 with latest iOS, iPad mini. I recently purchased an ARÇELİK yogurt maker with WiFi connectivity to the HomeWiz app. I'm sure I would have paid extra for a device with this facility over one that does not have WiFi. Looking at the HomeWiz website, obvious that they sell themselves as a generic provider of WiFi appliance control for various manufacturers - so this is a generic app. They are gatheting personal information from users after downloading the app only for users to discover the app doesn't work. Looking at reviews on the App Store I note others have had similar issues. I will definitely be raising this issue with ARÇELİK who are charging for a premium machine that otherwise works great other than for the part provided by HomeWhiz. My advice to anyone buying a machine with WiFi connectivity, make sure you agree in writing with the seller that you reserve the right to return the machine if the WiFi functionality does not work. ### 1/5 — Don’t even bother *2026-05-22, version 3.2.0* The hoops you need to jump through to try and connect to the Hitachi washing machine on this circus of an application is not worth it. Unsuccessfully tried everything, but the application refuses to find the machine while in pairing mode. I’ve changed the router to only 2.4ghz. I’ve updated security settings on the router, restarted the app, reinstalled the app, power cycled the machine and my smart device. I’ve turned off mobile data, turned on location settings. I feel like if I restarted the whole damn universe this thing will still have a connection issues. When trying to enter the product code to connect to the machine manually, whilst in pairing mode, the app gets to step two then crashes. Worst app I’ve ever had the displeasure of using and Hitachi should invest in their own app so that we can move away from HomeWhiz. ### 1/5 — App doesn’t work *2026-05-19, version 3.2.0* All of a sudden, a few months ago the app keeps crashing. Randomly started, had multiple updates since and refuses to work. Awful. ### 1/5 — Beko - buggy, no notifications. *2026-05-10, version 3.2.0* Use this app for a Beko washing machine. Stops working often. Have to constantly unpair and repair the washing machine with limited success. Even when it works, it’s almost completely pointless as it’s not possible to set up notifications when a load is finished. Easier to just go to the machine and check. ### 1/5 — Dryer *2026-05-07, version 3.1.36* The app is useless, tried so many to connect to the dryer never connected ### 1/5 — Ne fonctionne pas + réponse à côté de la plaque *2026-04-22* L’application me demande d’appuyer sur des touches qui n’existent pas pour synchroniser mon appareil, appareil éteint alors qu’il s’agit de touches tactiles. J’ai finalement réussi à avoir le signal wifi (le but recherché) en faisant via une autre méthode trouvée sur internet, mais quand bien même il ne détecte pas mon appareil. A date application donc complètement inutile dans mon cas. Ajout au 22/04 : on m’a répondu que l’application avait été mise à jour, ce qui est faux - la dernière mise à jour a deux semaines, mon problème moins d’une semaine - et cela ne fonctionne toujours pas. Tried contacting support through the app but wasn’t able to send message. Totally useless ### 1/5 — Rootkit installed *2026-03-09, version 3.1.34* I used this app for 6months with no issues. I upgraded to latest iPhone in November, still no issues, then February 2026 I updated the app and now I keep having a message saying my phone is a jailbreak or has a Rootkit installed - neither of which is true! Refuses to allow me to use the app now. I paid for a very expensive virus scanner/security suite and checked my phone to which no issues were found. I’ve had an expert look at my phone who said there is nothing wrong with my phone, “it’s just a dodgy app.” Really annoyed, don’t waste your time or effort as it was a complete hassle to link my appliance to the app in the first place.
