Nothing has changed in my config. I now have 2 dumb smart fans. 2 stars as no longer works for me, but has been great in the past. ### 4/5 — Works well with Princess fan *2025-07-01, version 2.7.1* Update July 2025 (owned a few years) Got a new router and device transferred surprisingly seamlessly. Have set up an app shortcut and automation too. Works well over WiFi, can schedule on/off at specific times Eg 7am for 1hr. Only issue was on app onboarding it skipped ‘Add Device’ and was trying to connect to a dehumidifier which I don’t have. My product won't connect. Maybe since you never do app updates. It's been two years... ### 1/5 — Does not pair. APP useless. *2024-02-25, version 2.7.1* Not a SMART dehumidifier. Has to be run in MANUAL mode. Customer-care/Support non-existent. Does not PAIR in any combination of configurations. Instructions state pairing button to be pressed for 6+ seconds until three beeps are heard. No beeps. However the pairing button LED goes into a rapid flashing sequence - undocumented - no 'wifi network' appears on my latest model iPhone. Further 6+ seconds pressing the pairing button changes the undocumented rapid flashing shown to a much slower flash rate - similarly undocumented. At which point my iPhone now shows an unsecured open network - undocumented. Now I have to switch off the auto-join of my WiFi7 router and its quality optical broadband to allow some low quality 4G/3G/E cellular to feed this unsecured open wifi network... to find it still does not pair/connect. Pressed the various 'wants to join' popups but always get the 'unable to join' popup. The 'cancel installation' works every time totally reliably. The pairing does not. I don't have any of the other so-called smart network instances (never will) but I did expect to be able to run the APP to get the promised SMART operations via an iPhone. This has not delivered on any of those aspects. Sold as a SMART dehumidifier. Does not achieve that promise. Not fit for the purpose promised or even its title. Degrading the unfulfilled miss-sold promise down to a DUMB dehumidifier achieves a decent working unit. It is NOT quiet or appropriate for use in a bedroom ...that's just a marketing 'promise'. However it was bought for use in a damp kitchen so at least it hasn't been waste of money - just a complete and utter waste of my time. On the good side: it does dehumidify albeit noisily and it looks reasonably styled and otherwise made. I cannot therefore recommend the product. ### 1/5 — Deleted *2024-02-02, version 2.7.1* Deleted ### 1/5 — Worked fine for the first couple months *2023-12-04, version 2.7.1* When I first purchased the heater it synced perfectly to the app when connecting for awhile so I bought another one. A year later after not being used in the warmer months, they will not link up to the app at all, rendering my two expensive heaters completely useless. Countless try’s and following an exchange with the company they still don’t work. If only the app developer would rectify this it might give potential buyers the encouragement to buy more of their products. ### 4/5 — Easy but buggy? *2023-09-11, version 2.7.1* Found easy to use and set up had for a few months now however today the app is constantly saying no connection however I have set Siri Shortcuts up and it switches on and off fine. I’ve tried uninstalling the app, updating my phone, clearing the fan and readding to my account yet no connection still persists. I’m hesitant to turn the wifi off because for my household it’s an inconvenience to do just because the app is throwing a wobbly hopefully it’ll resolve itself at some point but otherwise this fan has been a great and easy purchase kind of wish it had an magnetic remote with it anyway. ### 1/5 — App is poor. *2023-06-26, version 2.7.1* App says the fan is offline but Google Home says it’s online. Can do most controls through Google Home but cannot control the intensity of the smart fan. Can see the fan in my wifi network so it is definitely the app at fault. Over 30 attempts to pair. Then it still drops out after pairing. No visibility of own client data when inputting for enrolment. Some features not visible within the screen borders. It’s a mess. I’m returning the Princess Tower Fan after only four days of use. ### 1/5 — app is hoplessly defective *2023-04-01* Let's say room temp is 20, so you open the app and it says room temperature is 20 and you set the thermostat to 23. All good, except if you close the app, you will within a few mins find the room temperature upto 26, so you open the app again and now it says room temp is 17 and it's still trying to heat it to 23. Meaning after you initially turn on the heater, the app temp measurement wll suddenly be off by 6 degrees, so to heat the room to 23, you have to set the app to 17 degs. This is a very obvious bug. To make things worse, if you click the support link, it goes to the developer site but says the page doesn't exist. I would never buy a product from this vendor ever again, whether software or hardware appliance. It's really expensive but you don't get what you paid for at all, and awful support to boot... ### 1/5 — Infuriating *2023-01-18, version 2.7.1* This app and it’s persistent inability to connect to devices has become infuriating. When the app cannot connect to your device it repeats an attempt to connect after time out, meaning you cannot then access any other function of the app or even remove your device and start again. I have a princess air-conditioner and tower fan already added and these will add successfully over and over again I recently purchased a new princess air-conditioner for another room and it would not add. I sent it back and got another replacement one and this one will not add. I keep getting internal error, but it will not add to the application . ### 1/5 — Will not connect *2025-03-08, version 2.7.1* Bought the same fan and connected it to another app no problem but once it needed replacing I was sent a princess home fan that connects to this app however every time I try and connect it just says “internal server issue” and closes the process. New fan is not near as handy now that I have to find the remote anytime I need to adjust the heat and can’t use the app like they sell it ### 1/5 — Werkt niet verwarming princess *2024-10-11, version 2.7.1* Werkt langs geen kanten! Heb dit nu 2 jaar , in het begin alles prima maar na de winter begonnen problemen. Ofwel staat de verwarming zgz op 35* of slaat niet aan zelfs met planning. Heb de apparaten eraf gedaan en terug opnieuw begonnen maar hetzelfde resultaat . After putting it away (British summers) and trying to get set up again (new router), it’s nigh impossible to get connected. Followed the support instructions, set phone/router to 2.4GHz, disconnect from usual WiFi network etc and it doesn’t work. On the random occasion it does pair with the device, after numerous attempts, it gets stuck at retrieving device data. The fact that this version is 2 years old, says it all for me!
