### 4/5 — Visually appealing!

*2016-07-01, version 1.0*

I really like the presentation of this app! I can't wait to try it with my students. Much appreciated is the depth of practice available for each pair. Even many adults still don't "no" when to use a certain homophone. Thanks for the pictorial display, sometimes I wasn't sure what the picture was trying to convey though. Overall, a big step for homophones! Thanks

### 4/5 — Great app!!!

You continue to make better education apps.. And this is great, backing up pictures with each word helps the student retain the connection better

### 4/5 — It's ok

*2016-04-03, version 1.0*

My 5 year old son enjoys the games. It's a good way for him to start understanding that the same sounding words have different meanings when spelled differently.

### 4/5 — Great app

Fun way in teaching those tricky words

### 4/5 — Please more like this!

*2016-03-23, version 1.0*

Very nice app. I plan to use it to support my teaching...as any teacher can attest many students at any age has difficulty with spelling and word identification ...I wish this app did not look so primary because it is a turn off to my intermediate age students.

### 4/5 — Fun and educational

*2016-03-23, version 1.0*

I am an SLP and many of my students struggle with homophones. This is a fun and easy way to work on this goal and it can be adjusted to meet their level and needs as they progress!

### 5/5 — Homophones

Seems like a great app for elementary age children.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — DO NOT PURCHASE!!!!

*2022-03-25, version 1.0*

This app is garbage. The audio is completely different from the flash cards and other activities.

### 1/5 — Terrible App

*2021-01-02, version 1.0*

The app is terrible, so I recommend not purchasing it for the following reasons. 1- the speaking portion is not aligned with the pictures or wording which creates confusions. 2- poor quality information and it’s limited to learning and more focused to make you spend more money. Money is better spent on. Class or a better quality learning tool.

### 1/5 — App stuck in Settings mode

*2020-11-16, version 1.0*

I enter the settings mode and there is no way to get back to the game. It’s stuck in settings mode.

### 1/5 — Audio does not match visual

*2020-06-15, version 1.0*

Great concept IF only it worked! The audio does not correlate with the flash card or visual therefore making the app useless. Rating: Zero stars

### 1/5 — 1 star

*2019-12-11, version 1.0*

Very bad. Won’t open.

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work

*2019-05-28, version 1.0*

Doesn’t open up at all. I was hopeful looking at the screen shots. I’m upset I spent money on an app that doesn’t work.

### 2/5 — Great idea

*2019-10-30, version 1.0*

Homophones are difficult and confusing and this is a great idea for an app. I like how kid-friendly it is. However, the audio doesn’t match the words in the graphics! That’s a big error that needs to be fixed.

### 3/5 — Interesting conceptually

*2016-04-02, version 1.0*

I'm always looking for apps that can be adapted for use with my adult literacy students who are learning English. This one was less useful than some of this company's other apps.

### 3/5 — Not my favorite

*2016-03-24, version 1.0*

I love the idea of this app and was excited to try it with my struggling speller. Some of the activities were fine, but others were unnecessarily tricky. When focusing on one particular homophobe, I'd prefer that it be the only word spelled incorrectly in the sentence. For instance, one of the first sentences in "allowed/aloud" says something like, "He reed the instructions allowed." First of all, "red" should have been the substitute for "read," but by putting two errors in, it takes away the focus on the homophones I want my daughter to learn. Maybe these sentences are reused on multiple boards, but I did not see a lot of repetition in my first review. I might try this with an older child who won't be confused as easily, but I'd still prefer the one-error format.

### 3/5 — Good

*2016-03-23, version 1.0*

Showing how words can sound the same and can be spelled in different ways

### 5/5 — Educational & Fun

*2016-03-25, version 1.0*

As for my 1 grader was fun, sometimes although even I had to think of correct answer. I think this app is good for 4 y.o. and for 6-7 y.o. kids.
Was something was to practice homophones.

### 5/5 — Way to review

*2016-03-25, version 1.0*

As a teacher it's always good to find a fun way for the kids to review work. I liked the various games and I liked how it would have more than one in a sentence (just like in real life).

### 5/5 — Multi use

Using with my adult population for sentence building and picture descriptions. Even for simple reading with visuals! I so appreciate free apps that are offered. My patients thank you!!

### 5/5 — Perfect add on for our homeschool

This app makes learning homophones fun. With several different ways to learn homophones that doesn't feel like learning but more like they are just having fun and playing games.
