## What is Honddossier?

Honddossier keeps track of what happens with your dog and works out when the next time is due.

Vaccinations, worming, fleas and ticks, the vet, the groomer: you record once what was done, and the app knows by itself when it is due again. You get a reminder well in advance and another on the day itself, at a time that suits you.

What you can do with it:

Keep a care record. For every care moment you note the date, who did it, what it cost and anything else that matters. You can add a photo, for example the label of a product or the sticker from the pet passport.

Scan vaccinations from the pet passport. Scan the vaccination page and the app reads the dates and the vaccine stickers on your phone itself. You check everything before it goes into the record, and if the passport says how long a vaccination is valid, the reminder follows that date.

Set your own rhythm. Every type of care starts from a common interval, for example worming every three months or the groomer every eight weeks. If your dog needs something different, change the interval or switch the repeat off.

Plan appointments ahead. Next month's vet visit or the grooming appointment in two weeks goes in with its future date. You get a reminder for it and see it at the top.

Tick off and move on. Worming done today? Tap the tick and the schedule moves on by itself. The earlier care moment stays in the record. Care that is due can also be ticked off straight from the widget.

Track weight. Record weigh-ins and follow the trend in a chart. One number says little, the trend says a lot.

Record walks. Press start, put your phone in your pocket and walk. The app follows the route with your phone's GPS, shows it on the map and works out the distance and pace. While you walk, time and distance are on your Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island. Afterwards you can replay the walk: the map flies along the route while the line draws itself. Rather fill it in yourself? Logging duration and distance by hand works too, with a weekly overview and the difference from last week.

With Siri. Start a walk or hear what is due first, just by asking.

See the costs. How much have you spent this year on the vet, the groomer and everything else? It is all together on one screen.

A record for the vet or the kennel. One tap gives you a tidy PDF with the profile, the full care record including photos, the weight trend and last month's activities.

Contacts that matter. The vet and an emergency contact, with a call button in the app and the number at the top of the PDF. If something goes wrong, whoever is looking after your dog needs a phone number, not a date.

Widget on your Home Screen. See at a glance what is due first.

On iPhone and iPad. Your record syncs through your own iCloud, so you see it on all your devices.

More than one dog. Every dog has its own record, schedule and overview.

About your data: your record is stored on your own device and in your own iCloud. The route of a recorded walk too; it goes nowhere else. There is no account, no login, and nobody else can see it.

What it costs: new users get two months free, including unlimited dogs, without starting a subscription or being charged automatically. Afterwards you decide whether to subscribe for one dog or unlimited dogs, monthly or yearly. The App Store shows your local price before purchase. Only a subscription you explicitly start renews automatically, unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the period ends in your Apple Account settings. Without a subscription, records remain readable and exportable; new entries and reminders stop. Existing subscriptions continue unchanged.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.5 — 2026-10-07

New users can now try every feature free for two months without starting a subscription. There is no automatic charge. Afterwards, you decide whether to subscribe. Existing subscriptions remain unchanged.

Care costs in different currencies are now shown separately. The welcome screen supports scrolling with large text. Reminders and the widget respect the end of your free period.

### 1.4 — 2026-10-03

This update improves the reliability of care reminders and recorded walks.

Appointments keep their reminder on the day itself. Reminders use your chosen time, even when a care date is stored at midnight.

Custom care types under Other now have their own schedules. With the one-dog plan, the dossier, widget and reminders consistently use the same dog.

If the dossier cannot be opened safely, the app prevents you from entering information that cannot be saved. GPS jumps are also filtered more reliably from your walking route.

### 1.3 — 2026-10-02

Costs now keep the currency you entered them in, so a record in pounds no longer turns up as euros on the insights screen, and the cost field asks for pounds instead of euros.

A repeat of three years now reads "In 3 years" rather than 36 months. The prompts asking to use your location and your camera follow the language of your phone.

### 1.2 — 2026-10-01

Vaccinations no longer share one schedule. For each one you choose what it was: the core vaccination, leptospirosis, kennel cough or rabies, each with its own rhythm of one or three years. The passport scan recognises this from the sticker and records DHPPi and L4 from the same day as two separate vaccinations.

### 1.1 — 2026-09-16

Honddossier is now available in English. New: scan vaccinations from the pet passport, see a walk in progress on your Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island, start a walk with Siri, and tick off care straight from the widget.
