## What is Honesmith Optics?

Take direct control of your iPhone camera—with controls that can adapt to the hand you actually shoot with.

Honesmith Optics is a manual RAW camera for photographers who want deliberate control over focus, exposure, metering and file format without giving up a clean shooting flow.

LEFT-HAND-FRIENDLY CONTROLS

Choose your Preferred Hand in Settings. Left-hand mode moves the manual-focus rail and lens shortcut closer to your left hand while keeping the shutter centered. Text, photos, P/S/M and system navigation are never mirrored.

FOCUS AND METER SEPARATELY

• Tap the preview to focus.
• Long-press to meter exposure at a different point.
• Use persistent Spot or Zone metering when you want deliberate exposure control.
• Switch between AF and MF, use the manual-focus rail, magnifier and Focus Assist.

MANUAL CAMERA CONTROL

• P/S/M exposure modes.
• Shutter speed, ISO, exposure compensation and white balance controls where supported.
• 4:3, 16:9 and 1:1 photo ratios.
• Built-in looks, timers and volume-button capture.
• Profiles, Recipes and Memory for repeatable shooting setups.

RAW / DNG

Pro+ supports Bayer RAW and Apple ProRAW on compatible iPhone and lens paths, saved as DNG. If the selected RAW mode is unavailable, Honesmith Optics tells you instead of silently saving a compressed format as RAW.

PHOTO AND VIDEO

Basic includes the core manual shooting experience and HEIF. Pro adds Focus Assist, JPEG/PNG output and supported 4K video modes, including 4K60 where the device supports it. Pro+ includes Pro and adds RAW/DNG.

PRIVATE BY DESIGN

No Honesmith account. No ads. No usage analytics. Photos, videos and RAW media are processed on your device and are not automatically uploaded. Diagnostics are created only when you request them.

NO SUBSCRIPTION

Pro and Pro+ are one-time purchases through the App Store. Feature availability can depend on your iPhone, active lens and supported camera capabilities.
