I am 12 years old and I’m notorious for not doing my chores. The app makes sure I’m keeping myself busy and when I don’t do my chores, I get whipped ;) Honeydew List is easy to navigate and it helps me make sure my sister is doing her homework. My parents share a list with my sister and I and we can’t delete items to get out of doing our work. I highly suggest this app! I do think that they could make the app better by adding different sounds instead of just the whip. **Developer response:** Thank you for your feedback! HoneyDew Support ### 5/5 — Best App I own *2022-12-22, version 2.3.4* I don’t usually review apps but I love this one so much I had to. I do a lot of home repairs and other things for my wife, mother and friends. This app has helped so much. There isn’t much I would change about it, but I would pay to have certain options like being able to click on an item to expand it with details or/and adding pictures in the description, this would help when I need to pick up a part from Home Depot, Lowe’s etc and compare prices. The other thing I wish it had was the ability for my wife to log in and add or remove. I like the share option, but it would be nice if it could be viewed by more than one person at the same time. It’s easy to use. It’s useful. It’s funny. I’ve told my friends about it and several of them have downloaded it. Here are my two issues: when adding a new item to a to-do list, it buffers for almost a full minute before it adds it to the list. It’s like waiting for dial up in 1999. When I want to make a to-do list, it’s usually because everything is about to spill out of my brain and I need to get it written down quickly before I lose something. So this slow buffering thing has become very problematic so my husband and I use this much less often. Secondly, when we first downloaded the app, there was a hilarious whip sound when either of us added or checked off something on a to-do list. We can no longer get the notification sound to work. Both of us have the notification settings turned on and have tested it with the volume up. Not sure what happened. Okay, actually a 3rd thing. This app DRAINS your battery more than any other app I’ve used. Something to do with the location service I guess. Oh, which leads me to one 4th and last thing... when I turn the location services off to save my battery, it gives me the pop up option to turn on my location services in settings. When I click “not now maybe later,” it automatically takes me to my settings anyway. So basically, every time I open the app, it takes me to my settings, then I have to go back into the app. Very annoying. Other than that, the app is great! 😂 ### 2/5 — Great app location not needed *2021-02-05, version 2.2* I love the app it works really good, but there isn’t a need for my location and the fact that it pops up anytime I open the app is worse. This even happens if I haven’t closed it all the way out which is kinda annoying when shopping and using it as a list to get things. Edit..stopped using as it kept asking for my location and still left the app when I said no. It would also stop my music or anything I was listing to, I don’t see why the app would need my headphones or speaker ### 4/5 — Love the icon but need option to write longer to-do tasks *2020-12-29, version 2.2* Love the idea of turning the tradition hubby honey do list into an app to share with husband but it needs the option to write out longer to-do items, and also be able to set individual reminders for each task ### 4/5 — Love this app *2020-12-12, version 2.2* I love this app almost as much as my wife. It’s great for keeping track of tasks you need to do. Being able to put a priority or list sort would be fantastic. (You can move items manually). I use this as a retiree to finally catch up on all the projects I couldn’t fit in while I was working. It’s a great app. Well done. I’m not sure why it requires location services. That is annoying and when you close the app location tracking remains on. You need to completely shut the app down. All in all this is an app worth paying for. Only problem I have is that every time I open the app, for no reason at all it stops any music I have playing. I do wish I could move items between lists. I often think of things that need doing at odd times, so having the master list is great, but I would love to be able to have a list for family members that I could drag thing from the main list into their list. Only changes I’d make are the constant location prompts and the whip sound my phone makes when my wife adds an item to list. I’ve tried to change the alert sound but I’ve been unsuccessful so far. Gets embarrassing when it goes off in public. Other than those things the app is awesome! ### 3/5 — Decent app *2020-05-30, version 2.2* The biggest note/complaint I have for the devs is that this app always wants to know my location. If I say “never know my location” it prompts me every time I open the app to give it location privileges. The two option are “not now” and “settings” both buttons take me to my settings to give it permission for my location. Please tweak this, this app doesn’t need to know my location ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Refuses to work *2024-01-05, version 3.0.1* I’m sorry but this app refuses to work. I cannot open it with the security info I created. It doesn’t send phone notification numbers to verify and says my email is “already in use” when I only signed up once without getting in. I’d love to see how this app works but instead I fought to get in for 20-30 minutes and am now deleting it and going elsewhere. Poo! ### 1/5 — Changed to subscription use *2023-11-22, version 3.0* When we first got the app we didn’t have to pay a subscription. We created multiple lists and was able to share them. When I launched the app it said only 4 allowed lists and only one can be shared. I had 6 shared lists previously without any issues. I believe we even paid for the app when we got it. But now it’s useless without a subscription. Talk about bait and switch. Avoid and needs to be delisted. ### 1/5 — Can’t get it to share *2021-05-14, version 2.3.1* The entire reason I downloaded this app was to be able to share tasks with my husband, as I’m pregnant and need him to take over certain things. The app crashes EVERY time I hit the share button, so I’ve never been able to share it with him. I’m an expat living overseas, this app would be great, but apparently this app doesn’t like my country of residence. ### 1/5 — Not working so far *2019-12-04, version 2.2* Just downloaded this app and was setting it up, then it wanted to send me a confirmation code via text or call, but after at least 15 tries I have yet to receive any kind of conf code by text or call. I’m very disappointed because this looked to be a pretty good app for what I’m needing, but if we can’t even get past the initial “1st stage” I’m not so sure this is so great after all. Still waiting to receive one of those conf codes and it’s been well over 10-15 min.🙄 ### 1/5 — Why so invasive? *2019-03-24, version 1.4.9* Don’t forget to bring your DNA and SSN with you. App is either coded poorly...or THEY REALLY WANT YOUR PERSONAL INFO. Try and tell the app you don’t want to track location while using it...nope pops you into settings to allow anyway. Force verification of text/call to create an account or link up with social media. We can all add items that we need to pack. For example, food and camping supplies, beach vacation items, things we need to take when kids are visiting grandparents, etc. The lists are saved so we can reuse them each time instead of making up new lists each time.
