### 1/5 — Garbage

*2023-09-28, version 2.3.1*

I’d give it a -100 if I could. Installed and tried to set up account. Would not recognize my Gmail email address that i’ve held since 1998! Like the thermostat. Too bad the company doesn’t appreciate their customers enough to put dome bucks into hiring competent programmers.

### 1/5 — Worthless App

*2023-05-21, version 2.2.4*

Can’t even login or create an account using this app. Their entire IT team should be fired.

### 1/5 — Horrible

*2023-03-11, version 2.1.0*

This app is one of the WORST apps I’ve ever tried to use …
HONEYWELL SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF THEMSELVES !!
I tried to get through the sign up process
 ( which was
Very Convoluted ) to get to where could Actually Use this App to control my new Honeywell thermostat …. I Finally Gave up and deleted it …
and now am stuck with their mediocre website they also have available … i should have should gone with the Nest thermostat instead !!
I used be a computer operator on a Honeywell system years ago , and can’t believe they have gotten this bad !!

### 1/5 — Garbage

*2023-01-31, version 2.0.0*

Garbage

### 1/5 — Terrible app

*2023-01-22, version 2.0.0*

The most complicated and stupid app, I spent over one hour and didn’t get anywhere, still don’t know how to set it up.

### 1/5 — Time waste

*2023-01-02, version 2.0.0*

I think this is a corporate app. It's impossible to sign into it. I'm going to buy a better thermostat and install that when i get a chance.

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work with latest firmware

*2022-12-12, version 1.8.0*

Update the app so it works with the latest firmware. Don’t put the cart before the horse.

### 1/5 — Awful Account Creation

*2022-11-23, version 1.8.0*

It has you make an account and then it provides you with a different account that has a separate email link to some Microsoft Honeywell account, which is just confusing. Then when you try using that account, it has a different password than the one you just set and when you tried to reset it, it says that you did not set up password reset. How am I supposed to login if my password did not get set yet I do not have password reset enabled???

### 1/5 — Thermostat

*2022-11-01, version 1.8.0*

Takes you 30 minutes to try and set up and then I just deleted it. Buy a nest

### 1/5 — Simply horrible

*2022-09-20, version 1.8.0*

Nothing good to say about the app

Setup was a nightmare

Then it didn’t work

Do not. Do not get this.

### 1/5 — Most labor intensive app I have ever used

*2022-09-03, version 1.8.0*

Still can’t login
Had a Nest in my old house ….up and running in 5 minutes this one is junk

### 1/5 — Who thought of this??

*2022-07-27, version 1.7.0*

I got through a whole barrage of useless security setups only to not even be able to connect my thermostat to this app. Guys dont even try, this app is a joke.

I read the other reviews and thought maybe my experience would be otherwise… just maybe. But no.

### 1/5 — Horrible

*2022-07-09, version 1.7.0*

This is horrific. All i want to do is control my thermostat. It wants 5 security questions a ton of other information. Took 15 minutes to get two verification emails and I finally had enough! Good grief.

### 1/5 — Seriously?

*2022-03-29, version 1.6.0*

Bought (5) of the new TC500 thermostats for (2) buildings. Thermostat is more more flexible than the Honeywells I am replacing, however the app in almost analog in comparison. Created 2 sites in app and I got (8) instances of one site and (1) of the other. You can’t delete sites in either version of the app (connect me) is user version. At least the Total Comfort Control version works in app or on a PC. How could Honeywell not just start with TCC and develop an advanced front end from there? Maybe things are smoother if you buy the gateway, but who wants to spend more money on equipment of there is a big question if that will help you or just find them?

### 1/5 — Complete Garbage

*2021-07-01, version 1.2.2*

Yet another half-baked product from Honeywell. Great concept and idea but horrible execution. Got the Connect Me app working fine for the new TC500A thermostat which seems to have a lot more time and energy put into it. This app literally has nothing but a "sign-in" button when you open it, and every time I try logging in to my Microsoft account it fails and tells me it's having trouble connecting me. I'm a commercial BAS specialist and I was really looking forward to testing this out for some of my customer's sites in which they don't utilize a JACE or some other head-end controller. Hopefully Honeywell will update the app and make it work, but for now it's completely useless to me. I have a customer with over 30 some heat pumps going in, I guess I'll have to employ another solution bc I can't have faith that this will work.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Two Months Without TC500 Support

*2026-03-29, version 2.7.8*

This was a great app and I greatly appreciated its functionality. Unfortunately, Honeywell removed the ability to configure TC500 without any prior warning, and two months later, there is still no update to restore this feature. Not being able to configure or systems for this length of time has been a real challenge. I hope Honeywell prioritizes a fix soon, as decisions like this and the delays that follow make it difficult to recommend them to others. The potential is clearly there, and I’d love to see it return to the experience it once was.

### 1/5 — Indian developer trash

*2026-01-15, version 2.7.2*

They say the US cannot return to the moon because we no longer have that technology. Honeywell can no longer build a thermostat that functions properly with their app.

### 1/5 — Does not work

*2025-07-24, version 2.5.1*

Never connects to the device

### 1/5 — Why Microsoft

*2025-07-15, version 2.5.1*

Just take this down and start over. 1st you are signing in to Honeywell then it takes you to Microsoft. Then you sign in to Microsoft after 2nd verification. Once I did this Microsoft errored out saying contact Microsoft. Just a mess of an app.

### 1/5 — Didn’t help

*2025-06-09, version 2.5.1*

Not for headphones

### 1/5 — Absolutely opaque. Useless.

*2025-04-06, version 2.4.0*

Trying to enter model name, app has pre-entered incorrect model name, with no option to change.

### 1/5 — Can’t Sign In

*2025-04-03, version 2.4.0*

Can’t even sign in

### 1/5 — Non-functional

*2024-10-09*

Email verification doesn’t even work. Can’t set up an account to see if the app will do what it’s supposed to.

### 1/5 — Worthless

*2024-03-14, version 2.3.1*

How this was ever let to market is a mystery. App has never worked in 2 years of owning these thermostats. Should be a class action lawsuit at this point, don’t waste your money on Honeywell products.

### 1/5 — NEEDS UPDATE

*2023-10-01, version 2.3.1*

It was running smooth when I first set up all the controllers, but after the most resent iOS update, it stopped working. It won’t let me sign in again to see my thermostats.
PLEASE UPDATE! I need it asap!

### 2/5 — Incorrect Temps Displayed

*2025-03-11, version 2.4.0*

I thought this was the bees knees when installed. It connects to my Honeywell T9 thermostat and it’s two remote sensors. I can control the settings from away, which is very handy since the thermostat is for a rental property. Here’s the problem—the data is wrong. When I’m at the property and compare the app temps with the ones on the T9, they don’t match. Example: app says it’s 71 in both Apt 1 and Apt 2, but the T9 says it is 71 and 69. Why the discrepancy? The interface is hard as well. I get different temp readings from different areas of the app. Not very useful if you can’t trust the temperature readings.
