As you travel on the Wheel, you will have the opportunity to see Hong Kong from three 360° perspectives via your mobile: “Beyond the Beginning” (1890-1920); “City in Transition” (1960-1980); and Present Day. Working with popular and well-known local historians in Hong Kong, the Hong Kong Observation Wheel AR App weaves the tales and stories of the city’s history with vivid and visual recreations of the past, allowing users to travel back in time and overlook the Hong Kong Harbour and skyline from the vantage point of where the Wheel stands today. A fun and educational activity for the whole family to enjoy, the advanced technology presents an opportunity for visitors to learn more about Hong Kong’s history and culture.

Located at the iconic Central Harbourfront, the Hong Kong Observation Wheel offers spectacular day and night views of Hong Kong’s famous skyline and much more. A short walk from the Central/Hong Kong MTR Station and Central Ferry Piers, rides are priced at just HKD20. The adjacent AIA Vitality Park also hosts a variety of classes and events including fitness classes, yoga, kickboxing, swing dancing and Capoeira.
