## What is Hong Kong Style Mahjong?

Classic Hong Kong-style Mahjong for iPhone and iPad — now fully refreshed with a new look, eight tile styles, and
  deeper stats.
  
  Mahjong is a popular game that originated in China. It is commonly played by four players. The game and its regional
  variants are widely played throughout Eastern and South Eastern Asia, with a small following in Western countries.
  Like Western card games such as rummy, Mahjong is a game of skill, strategy and calculation, with an element of
  chance.
  
  This is a 13-tile implementation of Mahjong based on Hong Kong (Cantonese) rules.

I have like this game a lot! Easy interface, simple play style - the biggest and by far MOST ANNOYING complaint I have is that the game doesn’t seem to realize when you’ve won. I’ve been noticing it more and more. I’ll have a win if. Hand and it will continue like I do not. Sometimes, if you click out of game, go to a different level, then immediately come back to level you were playing, it will recognize that you’ve won. Otherwise, it makes you continue to play and doesn’t accept win. This is trusting for obvious reasons but also because as a new player trying to learn the game, it makes it difficult to know if I’m actually correct that I have right hand to win or if I’m playing incorrectly. If this bug could be fixed it would be perfect game!

Easy to understand mahjong game. I might be misunderstanding the rules but I get a round or player wind pong but no bonus point. Also player names and position on the game screen would be nice and for the ‘slow’ gameplay to be a bit slower (it’s still too fast for me!!)

I was advised to discard the north wind which I had drawn to make my pair for a Mahjong win! In other words I could not win when I should have done.  ??

Scoring corrections
  • Self-drawn wins are now scored against the tile you actually drew. A self-pick win that qualified was
  sometimes refused as being below the table minimum — this is fixed.
  • A winning hand is now offered as soon as the winning tile appears, instead of only after a replay.
  • Hands are no longer given an extra bonus level when flowers are switched off. Some hands now score
  lower than before, and the table minimum is properly enforced.
  • A win below the table minimum no longer blocks another player's valid win.          

  Online play
  • Your seat is no longer lost when the host switches apps mid-game.

    bigger hand, the table no longer sees your hand.

  • More reliable matchmaking — dead and stuck tables are cleaned up.
  • Accurate "players online" and multiplayer counts, plus a new Private games line.
  • Your moves no longer get lost mid-turn.
