I tried eight times and even deleted and redownloaded the app but I still got the same message ("START TIME IS TOO FAR IN THE FUTURE"). I had to use the machine at the hospital entrance. ### 1/5 — Uncoordinated Parking zone signage *2026-03-04, version 6.15.3* Wifi / cell coverage does not penetrate the garage making accessing the app impossible. Further aggravating this Zone identification signage has different numbers some of which are "not found" ### 1/5 — Expensive *2026-02-25, version 6.15.3* One time I did it by accident and I wasn’t in school and took my money and wasn’t able to refund me were students nd it’s already hard as it is also there is no option to pay for minutes in case we stay an an extra 2 mins we would have to pay for another whole hour that’s a rip off ### 1/5 — Worst app worst company *2026-02-13, version 6.15.3* Stay away from Honk! If you park somewhere and they have a QR code that directs you to honk mobile, you should get back in your car and park somewhere else. They charge extra fees for no reason (why not just bake it into the price) and for that “convenience” they issue you a parking permit for 0 minutes which earns you a parking violation and ticket that you then have to fight. The only reason I got the app was so that I could submit a claim, which they rejected. This company and their app sucks. Run away. ### 1/5 — PayPal doesn’t work? *2026-02-05, version 6.15.3* I’ve been using the app for 2 years for my uni parking, as of the past week PayPal does not work on the app but does on the website for some reason. As an individual who had used many parking apps, this is the bottom feeder of parking apps. Why do you need to request my location if there are parking zones? I clicked that the app could not use my location ever. Next thing i know it says i’m 15km from the zone i selected. Now i’m no genius, but that means you’re using my location after I said not to. And i’m also required to make an account at some point? No guest checkout? This doesn’t even need to be an app. You can just have a QR code take you to a website. In the day and age where AI can make this exact app but 5x better this is pathetic. I was going to say i’d like to try whatever these developers were smoking but i’m afraid it would provide me with a moderate cognitive health disorder. ### 1/5 — Total rip off *2026-06-21, version 6.17.1* I wanted to extend for a couple of hours to eat at nearby restaurant but the only option was the $20 till 4 AM OPTION. I already made the reservation so I ended up paying the $ 20. This is borderline malicious design. Please remove options that complicate the experience, clean up the UI, and turn off anything that is not part of the primary function of paying for parking by default. Yes - I have notifications turned on. ### 1/5 — Honk App Untrustworthy *2026-04-27, version 6.16.0* I got a ticket because honk app would not expend my parking. I tried to start a new session but still wouldn't allow the charge to go through. I tried three times while in a meeting and nothing went through. Going back to prove I tried to pay, but the denied charges did not even get registered on my wallet app or in the app to prove the failure of the app. Completely unacceptable and untrustworthy. ### 1/5 — If you can avoid the areas administrated for this company, DO IT *2026-03-11, version 6.15.3* Terrible, parking tickets for “not displaying valid receipt” when you actually paid and on top of that customer service it’s super mean and not helpful. THERE IS NO OPTION FOR PAYING LESS THAN A DAYdoesn’t matter if you only need to go only 1 hour class, they gonna steal from you an entire day.
