## What is Honor Library?

Honor Library turns the books you already own into a sharing circle with the people you trust.

No public marketplace. No strangers. Just your own circle, matched automatically from your contacts, passing along the books they love.

HOW IT WORKS
- Build your shelf in seconds. Scan a barcode, search by title, or paste a link from almost any bookstore. Choose which books you are happy to pass along.
- Your circle finds itself. Honor Library connects you with people already in your contacts who use the app. No friend requests, no hunting for strangers.
- Discover what is around you. A personalized feed shows the books your circle is ready to share, grouped into quick reads, long-form deep dives, and hidden gems.
- Request and hand off. Found something you want? Request it in one tap. The owner gets a message, you meet up, and the book finds its next reader in person.
- Keep a wishlist. Add the books you are hoping to read. When someone in your circle has one, you both know.

WHY HONOR LIBRARY
Books are meant to be passed on. Most of us have shelves full of titles we have already finished, while a friend nearby is looking for exactly that book. Honor Library closes that gap inside a circle you already trust, so sharing feels personal.

PRIVATE BY DESIGN
- Your shelf and activity are visible only to your circle, never to the public.
- We use the contacts on your device only to match you with friends who already use Honor Library.
- Sign in with your phone number. No passwords to remember.

Honor Library is a project of V2C Inc, a US 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Questions or feedback? Reach us at contact@honorlibrary.org.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 3.3.0 — 2026-07-17

- New: a Getting Started guide on your shelf shows the three steps that bring the app to life and checks them off as you go.
- Discover now explains what it needs instead of looking empty.
- Fixed: a valid invite code no longer says it was not recognized.
- Fixed: shelf scanning no longer loses your batch if you swipe away by accident.
- Fixed: clearer messages when something is rate-limited or at a quota.

### 3.2.0 — 2026-06-23

Honor Library 3.2.0 helps you get connected and add books faster:

Find friends right from the start. When you set up your profile, you can now connect with people you already know from your contacts, so your shelf won't be empty or lonely.

Scan your whole shelf without losing books. Scan a stack of barcodes and add them all at once.

Anything we cannot look up automatically can still be added with a quick title, and barcodes for non-books are skipped instantly rather than stalling.

Clearer invites, so friends understand what Honor Library is before they join.

Stability and polish.
Thanks for sharing books on Honor Library.

### 3.0.0 — 2026-06-13

Invites that just work

A calmer, sharper Circle
Activity and People views, with pending requests surfacing front and center when you're needed.

Quality everywhere
Larger accessibility text sizes now render cleanly across the app. Book Covers repair themselves in more places. Buttons respond once, no matter how fast you tap. Dozens of small refinements to copy, loading states, and first-time use.

Thank you for sharing books within circles of trust.
