Unnecessary work. ### 1/5 — This App can RUIN your life as student. *2026-08-24, version 2.1.0* This app literally does not work. It is a requirement to use and it does absolutely nothing. If you have to use this app for taking tests, I suggest you just drop the class before you have to take a 0 or get expelled for “cheating” because the camera for your exams shuts off mid exam or doesnt work to begin with. DO NOT TRY TO USE THIS. It will waste hours of your time. ### 1/5 — Worst Experience using this app!!! *2026-08-24, version 2.1.0* My experience with Honorlock was extremely frustrating. The app is unnecessarily difficult to navigate. I kept having to back out and start the entire process over again. This should not happen after a user has already completed and passed the required steps. After getting everything cleared FINALLY .. My amazing proctor Walter paused my assessment at question 9/10 and gave his own personal assessment. The way he waited until the last question to tell me tabs were open and to move my external camera to the left .. when clearly everything had already been verified was frustrating and completely unnecessary. The combination of a poorly designed difficult to navigate app and an unpleasant proctoring experience made what should have been a simple 10 question assessment extremely stressful. A little peep in the background and we fail the test or assignment , the slightest peek on the keyboard and we fail a test or assignment, if we read the question out loud we fail the test or assignment. This is hurting our GPA’s, it’s making kids not want to go to college because of what you need to do and how you need to do it. I understand students cheat but it’s a terrible thing to have students use. It if was better formatted I think I’d love it to prove my honesty. With that said, why is there NO BACK BUTTON. Why do I have to repeat everything if I misclicked or chose the wrong option. Why doesn’t it correctly see me my computer and my keyboard in 1 go? Even if everything is in place?? I had to download this dumb app just to take a test on my computer, WHICH HAS A CAMERA. AND WORKS. I had just scanned the room JUST FINE. But just fix y’all’s app because every time I do homework for this class I have to redo the entire thing atLEAST 5 times before it works. FIX THIS. Its stupid and there is no reason for this to be a protocol. Previously it was just a chrome extension. Imagine my surprise this August when I found out I had to download a mobile and desktop app to be able to take any of my tests. The setup used to take 5 minutes- just a simple room scan and a photo ID- now it takes a minimum of 25 minutes- and that’s only *if* it doesn’t crash and make you redo things. I have to connect my phone to my laptop via USB-c and then it makes you scan a QR code from super far away- farther than my standard USB-c cable that came with my phone can reach. I shouldn’t have to buy a longer cable or tripod or any of the things it recommends to you just to be able to take the exams I studied for. And I frankly don’t like having to download an app on both of my devices that can access my camera and microphone and lord knows what else. I’m not fond of potentially putting my data at risk just to go through an excruciating, unnecessary process to take each exam. And I find it hard to believe this is any more effective at preventing cheating than the previous version. The previous version seemed plenty effective enough without being extremely inconvenient. ### 1/5 — This app gotta be rage bait Gng *2026-08-15, version 2.1.0* Bro this app waste my time it literally took me like 2-3 hours to first set this app up for my online class ts gotta be ragebait. Not even adding to the fact on how it can literally steal your info and sell it like if this app decides to sell your info you are COOKED I’m not even lying boys this app got your face it got your ID it got what apps you have it got everything bro. I don’t even show my ID to Roblox but I’m forced to show my ID to a small website like this just because am forced to this is bs I’m crine 😭😭 ### 1/5 — Not an effective and reliable tool at all *2026-08-14, version 2.1.0* I am thoroughly disappointed with this app and its web version. It is hard to navigate, does not have a back button for some reason when I want to navigate back, and is overall a giant mess. Their updates do not improve their sites at all, instead focusing on making the app worse. Once I’m in my final, with a three hour time limit my computer started flashing like a strobe light. I had to speak with support, which was hard since my screen was flashing. And they made a FALSE CLAIM, that it was my computer and to sign out and back in. Instead of being a respectable business and doing something useful. I lost a hour and did poorly on my exam with my limited time and emotional distress knowing that this final meant a lot to me. I do NOT RECOMMEND THIS. A 1.3-star rating is an insult to other terrible apps because it implies this thing actually functions on some baseline level, which it profoundly does not. Testing with this app is less of an academic evaluation and more of an exorcism where your phone gets possessed by a demonic entity. It demands angle perfection down to the sub-atomic level, freezes your entire screen the exact second you try to frame your workspace, and then has the absolute audacity to crash, locking you out of your exam while the timer counts down your academic execution. It acts like it’s guarding the Crown Jewels instead of letting someone submit a simple midterm. Using it feels like a deliberate psychological experiment designed to see how close a human being can get to throwing their $1,000 smartphone directly through a drywall. If you love high anxiety, hardware-frying battery drain, and watching your GPA get murdered in real-time, you'll love it. Otherwise, throwing your phone into oncoming traffic sounds infinitely more peaceful. ### 1/5 — Worst Test Taking app *2026-08-27, version 2.1.0* This app is the worst proctor test taking app. Not only is it super buggy but the test stop automatically and takes time for you to solve things while you’re in the middle of an exam.
