I even played this in my seat at the premier of The Lion King before the play started. This is easily one of the best games on my iPhone. There's one small problem, though. I finally mustered the mustard to get the bonus packs a while ago, and the Zelle, Gnome, and Retro Hook ones work fine, but every time I close the app on the multitasking bar, I come back and the Gramps pack is gone. It isn't that much of a problem when I can redownload it at no cost, but it's quite tedious to download it each time I play. I'd love if that was rectified. ### 5/5 — A fine addiction *2012-10-14, version 1.20* At first I was uninterested in the idea of a never-ending level. I saw got satisfaction from it. But I loved the hook series so I decided to give it another crack. I don't think my time playing Super Hook or Hook Champ combined adds up to how much I play this. I spend weeks perfecting one level. If you were a fan of Hook Champ, this game is only half the fun. I miss the upgrade store and the level maps. What gave Hook Champ it's replay value was collecting coins and upgrading your equipment. This game is ugly, cluttered, painful and difficult. I'm scared what they might release next. Only three game modes? No useful weapon upgrades? Inescapable death situations? Either I'm missing a whole section of this app, or they slacked off on this one. If you don't have Super Quick Hook or Hook Champ, grab those before getting this one. ### 3/5 — Brilliant *2011-02-09, version 1.10* Like the usual run jump games but crossed with feeling like spiderman, 3 games in one, just buy it for 59p your getting a lot of playtime for your penny's. Update took a bit of practice to unlock world 4 but finally done it. While the graphics and mechanics are slick I see this version as a huge step backwards. The addition of new game modes is great but does not make up for the removal of the progression aspects seen in the previous games. Also, there is no compelling replayability or reason to play the different modes once you have determined a favorite... so in the long run the game is little more than a couple of worlds that don't end and don't offer any real gaming satisfaction. Well.....I should've gotten this back when it came out! Great game with four different worlds and each with its own variation on gameplay. Replay value is through the roof.
