It provides a great peace of mind when on land and a way to keep an eye on positioning when onboard! This is hands-down the best app out there. The premium edition is absolutely worth the $20 per year. The ability to have remote alerts when we’re off the boat is what sold us on it, but since getting it we’ve found so many amazing features. The only issue we have is when using our iPad built in GPS it sometimes doesn’t update. Luckily we have a Peplink so we hooked that up as an external GPS source and it works flawlessly. Avec ces fonctionnalités j’aurais mis 5 étoiles. Die Remote-Option ist praktisch für Landgänge, wenn auch nicht einzigartig in der Welt der Ankerapps. Bei der Remoteüberwachung würde ich mir wünschen, dass ich die Überwachung auch mit einem Gerät einer fremden / anderen Person machen kann - also nicht nur mit der selben AppleID. (Ich habe keine zwei Geräte die eine Mobile Internetverbindung haben) Was mir jedoch fehlt ist die Möglichkeit den Schwojekreis anders als einen Kreis zu formen - also nicht nur Vollkreise. Sharing with a second device onboard it a great feature. ## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — Kept us hooked (and anchored) 🎣 *2026-08-01* Been running Hooked on the hook all season and it just works: set your alarm radius, drop your anchor, and it quietly keeps watch while you actually enjoy being out there. No fussy setup, no false alarms dragging me out of a dead sleep at 2am, no battery-melting nonsense running in the background. It does exactly the one job it exists to do, and it does it flawlessly. Only “bug” I’ve found is entirely my own fault: I keep forgetting to start the dang thing until we’re already anchored and settled in with a drink (which is on me, not Hooked 🤣). If I had one wish it’d be a little nudge or a “hey, you’ve stopped moving, want to start an alarm?” prompt so people like me get saved from themselves. Highly recommend to anyone who spends nights at anchor. It’s earned a permanent spot on my home screen. **Developer response:** Hi there! The developers are improving reliability and adding genuinely useful features all the time, plus they’re very responsive to queries and feedback. A year later I am so pleased with the insight and peace of mind this app brings. We frequently anchor overnight and I rest easy knowing I’ll never miss an anchor drag alarm. Thank you for creating and maintaining such a wonderful tool!
