## What is Hooky?

Hooky is a hook analyzer for short vertical video — TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts. It measures your cut before you publish it.

Not a prediction. A measurement: when the audio actually starts, where the first cut lands, how much happens in the first 3 seconds, how long the dead stretches run, and what is readable on screen — Hooky reads the on-screen text itself. Every finding names the value it measured and the threshold it crossed, so you can argue with it.

It measures. It does not predict. There is no virality score here and no promise about views. Nobody can honestly give you one.

WHAT THE SCORE IS, AND IS NOT
You get a hook score out of 100, and it is arithmetic rather than a forecast: it comes from the values Hooky measured in your file, against the thresholds you see next to every finding. The same file always gets the same number.

DEEP ANALYSIS (HOOKY PRO)
Deep analysis reads what is in your hook: the opening frames, the promise the first seconds make, what is missing, and a prioritized fix list with timestamps. It uses a handful of still frames sent to a third-party vision model, and — when you turn it on — the sound track sent to Google Cloud speech-to-text, so the report can say what is spoken and when the first word lands. Only after you agree, and never the video itself.

Re-cut your video and compare it against the earlier version. Only measured values are compared.
