I’ve tried juggling a camera, a notebook and a stopwatch at my kids game. It never works. Hoopline solved the problem in one elegant iPhone app and the design is so clean that I figured it under five minutes no tutorial needed. 

The interface is very easy and the live scoreboard is front and center. Big legible numbers that you can read from the bleachers in a bright gym. The scoring buttons are large enough to tap accurately while you’re distracted by the action on the court

The technical execution is genuinely impressive. Hoopline records video and tracks the score simultaneously on a single iPhone., No lag no dropped frames. The real time scoreboard gets baked directly into the video overlay so the exported clip looks broadcast -quality without a second of editing.
I tapped record, scored the game like normal, and walked out of the gym with the broadcast style video and a shareable link - all on one phone. My kid watched the highlights reel in the car on the way home.
