But I can’t register without the original purchase info. You need to… 1…Allow subsequent owners to register, but inform them that the warranty is void 2…Print “serial number“ or “S/N“ followed by the number itself on the VIN (Vacuum identification number) sticker 3…And since you benefit from knowing the warranty is void on that particular machine, you don’t need to know my name or home address, only my email (or phone if I wish texts instead) so that you can still send me “tips, offers, and more.” 4…Allow interaction with the app without having to run the machine and make ourselves deaf. ### 1/5 — App only shows logo *2018-06-06, version 2.1* Vacuum works great but app doesn’t work on my iPhone 6s Plus. I have an iPhone 6. ### 1/5 — Misleading compatability statement. Plagued with bugs. *2018-04-24, version 2.1* After a lengthy conversation with Hoover support about the issues with this app, I was basically told only iphone 6 PLUS and above will work properly. I own a 6 standard. None of this is mentioned in the compatibility statement. Owners running < iphone 6 will experience a busted scheduling section and will not be able to turn it off. You will be told you can still operate with the remote. Except the remote doesnt allow you to deal with scheduling. I was also informed there is no way to factory reset the bot so expect to see your bot in some random place when you wake up in the morning. Further, on any phone, the manual link for the quest 700 leads to a 404. Dead link. This is all the result of sheer carelessness and laziness on the developers part. Either fix the issues and release an update or exclude the unsupported models in writing as required by the app store. Also, fix the dead links. I find it incredible that I was suggested to return a product so the vendor wouldnt have to fix anything. Thats a first for me! Anyway it was okay at first but I had a lot of trouble hooking the vacuum up to the app(plus there is many Hoover apps so I didn’t know which one to use! Thanks Hoover for not putting barely any directions in the owners manual by the way. It was a huge waste of time) when I finally got the app hooked up it was working fine. I set up a schedule too and it was for every other day at 10 o’clock in the morning which was perfect, then it started going off at weird times in the morning and night which was suuperrr inconvenienced bc it would wake everyone in the House up. One night it went off at 1:30 in the morning. Imagine my frustration when I got up and had to find it, it was stuck under my dads bed!! WTH Hoover fix the app for god sake! I was so angry that afternoon I called Hoover and it said it only works with ONLY IPHONES 6PLUS AND OVER. I have a iPhone 6 and now that I know the reason why there is no way to fix it. None of this was in the manual for your information. I’m so mad. Supper disappointing. On another note the vacuum doesn’t even work that great and doesn’t go on carpet that great either. It's easy to use and is great for controlling and scheduling my robot. It's intuitive and responsive and the feature of being able to "drive" my robot around the room made cleaning fun! I can use this app to rotate the vacuum if it gets wedged or stuck. I can even start the vacuuming from another room. I can check the actual battery life with it. I love this feature because the unit doesn't show me actual charge level. Being able to schedule cleanings is a huge plus! ### 4/5 — Hoover has made improvement *2018-01-28, version 2.1* Hoover recently made fixes to their app. In December from 2017 the app was not working properly. I wrote Hoover customer service who responded and acknowledged there were issues and were working on an update. Since the latest update the app and robot syncs works much better. Overall now happy with the app and robot. ### 4/5 — Not understanding so many people not being able to operate an app *2018-01-08, version 2.1* App works fine. It downloads in under 2 seconds and opens every single time without issue. I have the Hoover react ultimate pet and this helps show issues vacuum might be having and how to easily fix them. Sounds like a whole lot of user-related issues and not product issues. People are far too quick to assume product is defective when it’s the users inability to learn and understand the product.
