However, something it lacks is the option to have background noise or music during the meditation. You can do one, or the other. It's just you and a voice. This doesn't work for a person who has a hard time quieting his mind like I do. It makes it hard to completely relax. I wanted to leave a suggestion not a review but could not find a way to. I am wondering why no new Daily Meditations have been dropped for a long time. I got 35 and then it stopped. Are you not producing new content anymore? Please do. I tried Abide but found it too robotic and heady. I try to listen to secular meditations to help with my anxiety, but have a hard time finding ones that don’t throw in wisdom that is contrary to God’s. I love that this app is helping people with anxiety through meditation, but with a Christian viewpoint. This is exactly what I’ve been desperately searching for, simple meditations that help you breathe, focus on the present moment, focus on your body, and slow down, but that also point you towards the true Hope of the World and speak over you with Biblical truths. ### 5/5 — Exceeded expectations *2022-09-07* I rarely, if ever, write reviews. I struggle a lot with OCD/anxiety and have always been intrigued with meditation but never gave it much of an chance because most main stream meditation guides didn’t resonate with me. If you are a Christian this app is such an amazing tool. I would say pretty much any Christian would benefit from this, but if you struggle with mental health issues then I would say this is a must. It is a perfect mix of meditation along biblical truths. I’ve just started this but already know it will be a regular part of my life going forward. I think they're still building their company and app, so there was a small bug with my subscription. When I reached out to customer service, I honestly wasn’t expecting much; I was so surprised and so grateful for the person-to-person response. They went above and beyond what was necessary in solving the problem, and were so kind and helpful in doing so. They embody the ideal of treating their neighbors as they would be treated. Most importantly, the meditations they offer truly bring me closer to God. I feel the hope and love of Christ with each of the meditations. I found HOPE in a season I felt so lonely and lost. I was always someone who thought meditation “wasn’t for me” but as I continued to pray for God to guide me in loneliness, He opened my mind to discover new ways of controlling my anxiety. He led me to HOPE. I absolutely love everything about these guided meditations. The voice is so soothing and kind, the structure is perfect so relaxing, and the Bible verses always speak perfectly into my season. I recommend this app to all my friends, and even new people I meet. I compare it to Headspace for Christians, or simply anyone who wants to learn more about Gods word. I listened to the podcast on Spotify and enjoy the daily hope meditations on the app. They are a great length for me as I have young kids who don’t always give me a lot of quiet to do long deep meditations haha. The verse of the daily hope has been great reminders for me and makes me think new about the verse and want to read my Bible more. I totally agree with their statement of Faith! After reading that I felt comfortable in doing the meditation. I grew up being told meditation is wrong in any form ! Meditating on Gods Word is awesome! This would be great before bed to relax you but it’s perfect in the morning to clear your mind. Either way your refreshed! You feel a little closer to your Heavenly Father, your precious Savior and Holy Spirit who comforts you always and helps lead you in decisions. I now have four daily meditations on my app I started with three now there’s four since November 2024. Also o Miracle stories have never been updated since November 2024 whenI bought the app. Do not buy this app. ### 1/5 — Don’t bother *2022-08-29, version 2.1.6* I first downloaded this app over two weeks ago along with many others to do a comparison. The first one I opened I absolutely loved. This one however I was on the fence with. But it made it past several elimination stages until now. The first step towards the developers down fall was misleading people into believing that to have access to all the features one just needs to create an account. So I reluctantly did. I then re-entered the app after confirming my email and attempted to listen to sleep sounds once again when I was now prompted to subscribe to a $40 yearly subscription. This is wrong on so many levels. First to lie about what a person needs to do in order to gain access to all features. Trick people into giving emails addresses so I will have to go through some unholy process to unsubscribe from them. And the ridiculous price this developer thinks this app is worth is insane. If you like the app and don’t mind the subscription price go for it. But if they are going to mislead a person about what it takes to gain access to the apps features I wonder what else they are going to lie about. Update: As a response to the developer. I looked over the app again and you are correct. There is a place where you inform people of what is included in the free subscription. When I first opened the app and tapped on one of the meditations it opened the “please subscribe” window that many apps are known for. I closed it the first time without reading it because I like to explore the app first without getting buried in advertisements for the app. But when I wrote about misleading information it is specifically the person/ or computer generated voice speaking through the app that is misleading. When he or it speaks about having access to the apps features perhaps it should be a little more specific that there is a difference between full access and partial access. So I stand by my statement of misleading but only from what the person says when advertising to people over the voice adds. Second point cost. I am aware of the cost of developing software in part. Graphic designers, voice actors, programmers, etc. It all costs money if that is the way you are going to go about creating your specific app. that is up to you. And someone has to pay for the over the top cost of apps that are over engineered. I have found apps that are better than this one that don’t waste money on tons of graphics and expect people to pay hard earned money on ridiculous amounts of overhead. So I fully stand by my statement of price overkill here. You use the latest design techniques and schemes that are expensive and unnecessary to advertise to people why they should meditate. People know why, that’s why they are looking for the app in the first place. And because of your large amount of money spent of self gratifying advertisements in your own app you have a huge expense to cover so you charge for it. I bet if you used older graphic design schemes it would save you and the people paying for the full access money and people would still use your app. Unless there are other issues like bad theology then I can’t help you there. ### 1/5 — 👎🏻 *2022-05-25, version 2.1.6* No improvements here - doesn’t work at all! We aren’t supposed to be content here! This is NOT our home! This quote is not based on the Bible and is false! Cancel my subscription ! This is garbage and I’m happy to know truth from false teaching ### 1/5 — App not working *2021-11-11, version 2.1.4* I would love to use this app and pay for the service but it is just not working for me - I already tried uninstalling and reinstalling it. Access after that is $70/yr *2021-03-14, version 1.2.5* Probably food but one 10 minute session doesn’t give me a lot to decide to spend $70. It quits and crashes during the meditation which makes it difficult to meditate. I tried contacting the company several times through their web site for help but they do not respond. ### 2/5 — Just When I Was About To Subscribe… *2023-12-27* I have read some reviews and apparently the developer has stopped any activity with this app. And I also noticed that the last update was a year ago. To the Developer: Goodness, didn’t mean to hit a nerve, but I did notice that it has been over a year since the last update. That’s just a factual observation. I’m glad you’re still active, but the way you responded still gives me pause about subscribing. By the way, Richard Rohr has ties with the occult. if you would like information about this or anybody else who is reading this review, you can email me and I will give you PDF documentations about his dangerous or cultic views. The first time worked a charm. The second time it kept crashing and I couldn’t load it, so halfway through the meditation we had to improvise. If this app can be updated to fix these crashes it wouldn’t be a problem. I had not done much meditation and was using another christian meditation app when I heard about “Hope”. I try to meditate daily, but life has sometimes distracted me. I always come back. It helps me block out the world’s noise, get me out of my own head and focused on God. During my quiet time when thoughts of busyness, and guilt can overwhelm me, I am able to recenter, stop being reactive and place my day in God’s hands.
