Absolutely Horrible Customer Service

Horrible experience with Hopp Cab. I waited 30 minutes for a ride, only to deal with an even worse customer service experience afterward. The money was already deducted from my account, yet their response is that it “might take up to 14 days” to get it back.

How is it acceptable to take someone’s money immediately but make them wait up to two weeks to get their own money returned? This is completely unacceptable and shows a serious lack of respect for customers.

The entire experience was frustrating, stressful, and disappointing. 30 minutes wasted, money deducted, and then zero urgency from customer service. Instead of actually resolving the issue, they hide behind a 14-day waiting period.

I would strongly recommend thinking twice before using Hopp Cab. Terrible service, terrible support, and absolutely no sense of responsibility toward the customer. This is one of the worst customer service experiences I’ve had.

I can’t emphasize this enough but if you’re traveling solo as a woman this app is not for you. I made a mistake of using it on a drive back home from the airport at 2 in the morning and not only I didn’t get picked up on time but also I got charged for the wait which is not the point. The fact that the driver admitted he couldn’t find me because of bad connection but still reported me as late is very interesting. He made zero effort to find me even though I was right at the pick up point (they’re pretty straightforward at the airport) and After me calling and finally finding him instead of starting the trip he was talking about how his phone acted up and etc. the same person charges me extra for being late I spoke to 4 different person at their team and they all sounded like AI robots trying not to refund the 10 cent 😂I’m here talking about safety and how they should respect it while they’re keep repeating they can’t refund the 10 cents. Nobody wants the 10 cents it’s about me being alone at the airport wanting a safe drive hours after midnight and if you’re ever in that sort of situation, it is very important that you avoid this app. Pay a couple more dollars to other services like Lyft and Uber and  stay safe!

Worst experience ever. A simple 14-minute ride was dragged into a 42-minute nightmare because the driver was completely lost on the highway. As a woman traveling alone, being trapped in a lost vehicle for over double the expected time felt extremely unsafe and stressful. To make matters worse, I was severely late for work, and Hopp overcharged me for the driver's own mistakes. Their support team only provided scripted, automated responses and refused to issue a full refund for a completely failed service. Unsafe drivers and terrible customer service—do not use this app.

Very disappointing experience on my recent trip to London. I was quoted approximately £64 for a ride to Chelsea, but the driver’s GPS directed him toward Brixton. When I questioned him, he told me his GPS was taking him there and asked me to re-enter my original destination. The fare then increased substantially. Despite several attempts to explain that my destination never changed, Hopp refused to acknowledge the issue. After being a loyal customer, I have lost confidence in the service and will no longer use it.

Every single driver I get complains about how much they make from this app. But why use it if you don’t like what you make . I pay $100’s of dollars to take rides far and every single one is the same . I get in and they say “so how much you pay for this ride” then ask for cash or etransfer of the same price or higher I paid on the app . Stay away from this app even though it’s great and prices are great. The drivers are absolutely terrible !

The drivers never actually pick you up. Im not sure how this app is still in business. The drivers don’t cancel the ride and just keep going away from you. Customer service does nothing about it. Worst app! Do not waste hours time or money on it!

If you're looking for a cheap ride, sure, use Hopp. Outside of the cheap prices, horrible customer service, unreliable, some very miserable drivers, horrible routes. If you want to compete with big companies like uber, then you need to take the steps to hold the same quality of service.

Toronto - Most terrifying drive I’ve ever experienced. Don’t know how they vet their drivers but it ain’t right. Customer service just gave a blanket “sorry we’ve taken note” response.
