## What is HoppedUp?

Get Your Hops On.

HoppedUp is a beer rating app with one strong opinion, what you drink is nobody's business but yours. No accounts. No usernames. No profiles. No feed. You rate the beer in front of you, and that is the whole app.

FIND THE BREWERIES AROUND YOU
Open HoppedUp and the breweries near you are already listed, closest first, with the distance to each one. Switch to the map to see how they sit around you, check today's hours, and hand off to Apple Maps when you have picked one.

SEE WHAT THE CROWD POURED
Every brewery has a community board, the beers people have rated there, the average out of five, and how many ratings it stands on. Aggregate only. You will never see who rated what, because nobody can.

RATE IT IN SECONDS
Tap Rate their hops, pick the beer from the list or type a new one, and set a half-star rating from 0.5 to 5. Add the style and the ABV if you care to. Add a note in your own words, it stays on your iPhone, for your eyes only, and is never uploaded anywhere.

TOP HOPS AND MY HOPS
Top Hops ranks the best-rated beers near you, so you always know what is worth the walk. My Hops is your own shelf, every beer you have rated, best first, searchable, and kept on your iPhone.

ANONYMOUS BY DESIGN
• No account, no sign-up, no email address.
• No username, no profile, no followers, no feed.
• Your rating history lives on your iPhone.
• Nothing you write ever leaves your iPhone, your notes are yours alone.
• All you share with the community is a rating value, with nothing that points back to you.

No badges. No streaks. No levels. No gamification. Just beer, rated honestly.

You must be of legal drinking age to use HoppedUp. Please drink responsibly.

## Version history (last 3 releases)

### 1.1.0 — 2026-09-03

The map pins now say three things at once. Amber is a brewery you have rated, a drained glass is one somebody else has rated and the full glasses are the ones nobody has drunk at yet.

Top Hops follows the map. Search an area and the board ranks what is best rated there, rather than what is best rated near you; Recenter puts it back to near me.

### 1.0.3 — 2026-08-26

The ABV field has had a word with itself. A fat-fingered number now stops at something sane instead of filling the row, Save stays put until the pour is believable rather than failing after you've tapped it, and the warning clears the moment you fix what caused it.

Brewery information behaves too. The button is there whether or not Apple Maps has anything to say about a brewery, and tapping it always opens something you can read and close. The details, or a note that they couldn't be loaded, instead of a blank page with no way out of it.

### 1.0 — 2026-08-18
