They don't advocate for customers either. They are an extended customer service of each hotel. They don’t give me my money back they are thieves. ### 1/5 — STAY AWAY *2026-08-11, version 7.115.0* We had a hotel booked and found out the day of when we arrived saying they do not book through Hopper. We called hopper to discuss this, told us to wait for 10-30 minutes and ended up having to call them back after 2 hours. We asked to cancel since the hotel was never booked and was told that we will receive the cancellation confirmation within 10-30 minutes (again) and never received a call. We had to book a different hotel then received an email AFTER the call regarding cancellation saying our hotel is available late in the evening. They refused to give our refund and was told from the credit card company that the credit card chargeback did not have enough “proof.” TLDR; if it sounds too good to be true IT’S A SCAM. Book through hotel.com or booking.com, a website that is trustworthy. ### 1/5 — Cal *2026-08-10, version 7.114.0* The price they show in the beginning is not the price you get. They add at least few hundred dollars (taxes) when it’s time to pay. And the end price ends up being the same or even higher than through any other legit website. ### 1/5 — They didn’t send a boarding price and the price gauge *2026-08-10, version 7.114.0* I used to really like this app. It made booking simple and offered me good deals. Now they price gauge. I’m on my way to the airport, and I have checked in for all my flights, and I have scoured both the app and my inbox searching for a boarding pass that they just didn’t send or have accessible in the app. I’d like to be able to access that information online (I did pay $750 for it) without the hassle and delays of standing in line at the airport. ### 1/5 — Liars *2026-08-09, version 7.114.0* I booked a room hopper said all fees and taxes were included I get to the resort to have to pay an additional $239 for the 5 nights for resort fees and local taxes had I booked with the resort itself I would have saved $73 a night and a total of $365 for the stay and booking.com would have saved me at least $200 or more on the stay worst experience ever! The resort told me I booked through Priceline and they don’t include fees .. so they clearly use other sites making this like a third party to a third party site no wonder I’m paying so much more! I called to inquire why I’m being charged again they keep saying you were charged a deposit no! I’m being charged fees and taxes! I had provide proof of charges which is understandable and promised it would be resolved this was the day I checked in to my my 5 night stay 24 hours after my stay still no resolution had to call back and have been put on hold several times for several minutes each time no resolution will update if they do the right thing After multiple calls and hours on the phone with them they refused to do anything and blamed the hotel The hotel informed me that I booked through Priceline but I booked through hopper which means hopper doesn’t book it themselves and then blames the hotel for their lack of doing the right thing At one point while on the phone with someone they tried to offer me another stay during the exact time of my stay … why would I pay even more money for a second room at a different hotel To be clear they were not offering a refund they were just trying to get more money out of me .. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE ### 1/5 — Horrible customer service *2026-08-07, version 7.114.0* I would pay more to have a better experience!! Hopper used to be good, but now days… HORRIBLE customer service, they don’t understand a word in English. I don’t understand why they hire people that aren’t able to speak in the official language of the app. I spelled my email more than 10 times, I spelled letter by letter and gave a word for each letter and even though they couldn't understand. I called again expecting a different outcome and another Indian person who couldn’t speak English. Jezz!! I am an immigrant and I totally understand the language barrier being frustrating, but if you don't speak English well, there are certain jobs you shouldn't take, especially those where you have the responsibility of assisting a client. Thank God my problem wasn't worse; it could have happened during a layover or a canceled flight. I can't even imagine how exhausting that would have been. My problem was during the purchase, thankfully, I didn't even buy anything!! ### 1/5 — Room was not the room we selected *2026-08-07, version 7.114.0* Unfortunately, Hopper let us down. The room we specifically selected was not the room. Hopper purchased for us with the hotel. The hotel could not help us. They could not honor the room we had paid for. The room was significantly different, we had specifically selected a room to fit our needs the room we were given did not have what we needed. I was charged twice for a transaction and they lied that it was true and was asked to call my bank and it was a pre-authorization charge which would come back after 24hrs and the extra funds they took was for an emergency that I had but unfortunately hopper took my money and this made me cry all day.
