Maintenance of the actual bikes is poor as well often rusty chains, squeeky brakes, loose pedals, and no way to report bikes in need of maintenance. It could be really handy but as it is now not worth signing up for. ### 3/5 — Issues with ending ride *2024-04-01, version 2.0.18* I enjoyed the ride but a couples issues with start/end. There were plenty of parked bikes that were not available for hire, possibly some were reserved but I doubt they all were. Ending the ride also was not smooth as the app would not end the ride until I restarted it. I have been trying for 10 mins to get bd the ride , pull down lever and hear no beep sound while my blue tooth was on with no problem. It is still counting without ending the ride . I should have been charged for 10 mins more fixing this damn thing . I am very frustrated after taking this ride . It’s not the first time I had experienced this problem . Yesterday had the same issue . What are you going to do with it !? I scan the QR code to report the issue and it says failed , standing here like an idiot . Had to download the app, enter phone number and email address to find out that (when I checked) there were only seven bicycles available in all of Atlanta. I tried to get my money back and customer service was like “once you paid we can’t refund you”. Here I am trying to use it and the app won’t let me login. This app is a joke. ### 1/5 — The whole concept is awful. *2023-03-11, version 2.0.18* This company has a lot of fine tuning to do. From terrible server connection, to inaccurate charges, to misleading information about what deals are for specific areas, to much more. I had to call customer service five times in a 30min span just to start my ride, get it to stop beeping like it’s being stolen, and to even end the ride after multiple failed attempts. And yes, I followed the basic three steps which are not always accurate. I heard the beep after locking it and ending my ride, only to find out it kept charging me over the next hour. If you’re going to have a basic app, at least make sure it works properly all the way through for someone to actually enjoy using your terrible service. I hate that people are stuck with these in certain areas as their only option. My one star is for their customer service. Like FOB said, “thanks for the memories even though they weren’t so great.” If you’re used to Lime or Birds, save your time with these. Back to the drawing board gang! ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Disappointing and a waste of time *2026-06-19, version 2.0.18* Spent 40 minutes trying to unlock the bike. After multiple attempts and trying different phones, we gave up. Kept saying my customer status was suspended. Then when I tried to call the customer service number I got a message that the phone number is no longer in service. So I submitted a request via the app, no email, no text message just a check mark that says “you request has been submitted”. Okay great, what does that get me? Huge waste of time and effort and still unclear why the accounts were getting suspended. My friends phone worked just fine but she was still unable to add rider so it was pointless all the way around. ### 1/5 — Location shows wrong state *2026-03-29, version 2.0.18* I downloaded the app, create an an account and the app tells me I’m in California when I’m in New York. Location service services are set to always and I’ve reinstalled the app twice. Completely unusable in Rochester, New York. ### 1/5 — NOT FOR ORLANDO *2025-02-18, version 2.0.18* I opened an account because HOPR claimed to be “the official bikeshare of Orlando.” They made me give them all my personal information just to look at the map of locations. Then once they had my info, it is revealed to me that HOPR does not operate in Orlando at all, only Miami. And there doesn’t seem to be a way to delete my account. ### 1/5 — Software is very broken *2025-01-23, version 2.0.18* I have not had a smooth experience with this app in over a year.
