I recommend maybe showing approximate location of sellers like other marketplaces for Canadian users, and fix the issue with Canadian phone numbers not compatible with the mobile phone verification. ### 2/5 — Banned *2026-07-30, version 3.0.3* Randomly banned me I have no idea why, I did nothing wrong. ### 2/5 — Good store BUT *2026-07-22* I like the store and I love selling things on it and they do help out when you need to but bro you charge for premium and then I gotta pay you 10% which majority of things I sell is at least $100 crazy work. You guys are probably profited over $1000 from me over the past four years. I feel like at that rate I should be be at least getting some kind of incentive or at least free premium for making so many sales considering the fact I’ve sold over $11,000 worth of good on here. Just saying guys start looking out for your customers a little bit more than you do. It’ll go a long way. ### 2/5 — Inactive and scam galore *2026-02-18, version 2.9.6* I am getting into airsoft as a new hobby of mine and stumbled across this app. I downloaded it because it looked like a Facebook marketplace for used airsoft equipment as a used/discounted price. Boy was I wrong. Not only are 90% of the listings at a higher price than buying a brand new gun from evoke.com, some of the sellers don’t respond, have the listing complete to purchase through the app while trying to get you to pay outside of the app and void any security of purchase. I would stick with eBay or any other app. Stay away from this app unless you want to pay over brand new MSRP for a gun on top of paid shipping… You can’t even favorite a weapon on the website, you HAVE TO use the app which is stupid. ### 2/5 — App Has Changed… *2025-10-14, version 2.9.4* This app is nothing like it used to be. $5 fee per listing, no “Lots” allowed (even when I’ve seen people posting Lots and Setups, not an easy to buy or sell local only (aka no shipping). Used to be an amazing app, literally like FB but AirSoft. This is one of the safest and best markets for airsoft surplus. ### 1/5 — Won’t let me sell *2025-06-30, version 2.9.4* I can’t put any listings up with out adding my debit card or my bank account and after I put in my details it told me to type in a verification code and I looked in my email tried to resend looked in my spam and the verification code won’t send anywhere and I can’t sell without it. Waste of time I can see why no one uses it ### 1/5 — Great to Horrible *2025-06-28* Used to be great. I’ve been using hopup for years and can only say it’s gone on a steep decline. The platform went from being able to freely sell, trade, and talk about airsoft. There was a 10% selling fee that was barely anything on smaller orders, and it was a good platform. I can say now that looking at the app, I can only see that it is pay to sell. You have the same 5 loonies trying to sell their stuff over and over again. Their orders “bump” to the top every day, which makes it near impossible for a new seller to try to sell their guns, and they rip off their buyers. I say a post one time that was from one of the top sellers that was a plastic springer that they painted black and were selling for $125. The app also has dozens of issues just trying to navigate through it. I can safely say that hopup has gone to garbage, and I’m sorry for any beginner airsofter who falls into the traps of the sellers on the marketplace, and who falls for the false truth that you can sell your guns on the app. It’s sad what this app has come to, and it’s disappointing ### 1/5 — Don’t wast time getting it *2025-06-17, version 2.9.4* There are to many scammers on this website lost $500 on here ### 5/5 — 5/5 Star App for Anything Airsoft *2025-06-14* This app has been great! It is easy to navigate/use. There is a wide selection of airsoft guns and related products, with numerous being added daily. You can find items on here (certain Airsoft gun models) that you CANNOT find anywhere else. They only charge 10% fee for selling (which is very reasonable) and this gives the seller/buyer selling/purchase protection. Safe from scams. Also can list independently if decided so. 5/5 star App for sure. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Don’t ask questions *2026-08-04, version 3.0.3* If people cared to review this app they would go on their own accord. Ask me 10 times wile I use the app and I’ll happily give you one star . Plus this app rips off real players and helps people who care about sales of overpriced temu products or people shipping item right off Amazon . Literally using their personal Amazon account to sell on this app and shipped with their account. Like do you not se how that will push away new players when they find out they wasted 10 more dollars on what they could’ve bought on Amazon themselves ### 1/5 — Ban 4 nothing *2026-07-23* Open the app text a few people got BAN for nothing made an new account open my new account said there is an problem ### 1/5 — Greedy pricing and slow approval rate *2026-07-20, version 3.0.3* The app signicantly slowed down the approval process for non-premium users’ posts. It takes them 3 days on average to even allow your post to show up. They charge 10% on all sales through their payment method, but using other payment methods would inflict an additional listing fee. The app used to be a lot more efficient and affordable to use. ### 1/5 — Banned my account and kept my money *2026-06-22, version 2.9.7* I bought a HPA rifle on HopUp and they banned my account. I cannot contact the seller and support isn’t helping. I will be filing a dispute for the $1200 I paid HOPUP IS A SCAM ### 1/5 — Dogwater *2026-06-17, version 2.9.7* Not only did they almost double there monthly subscription, but if you even mention the price being OBO in the description they decide to flag it and remove your post. They also take the highest percentage than any other payment method if you are a seller. ### 1/5 — BUYER(S) AND SELLER(S) BEWARE *2026-06-15, version 2.9.6* Hop up can ban accounts after a purchase is completed BUT NOT THE TRANSACTION and withhold your funds even after the banned account received the item and confirmed with HopUp support. Hopup is currently holding $1,000.00 from a hpa lmg I sold and not allowing me to withdraw the money. 0/10 customer service. DO NOT SELL YOUR STUFF ON HERE, THEY KEEP THE MONEY! ### 1/5 — It sucks *2026-06-08, version 2.9.6* The app works a little over half the time. But what’s worse they charge so much to sell on it. Makes it not worth it. And if you mention trades or using PayPal they threaten you with taking down your listings and blocking your account. KitUp is better anyways. ### 1/5 — Made me redo selling a item 10 TIMES *2026-05-21, version 2.9.6* disgusting it made me close out the app five times and additionally, after completing a sellout item form it would just randomly glitch and log out of the app. I had to go back in and do it over and over. I have yet to have someone give me a legitimate offer and purchase what I’m selling at A GOOD PRICE. you also have to pay for people to even see your listing which is stupid. ### 1/5 — Was a solid BST Airsoft app now it’s trash. *2025-07-06, version 2.9.4* I have been a member since 2017 and it was a great app when you could post for free or pay a monthly subscription for immediate listing but with the system that’s currently integrated that takes a chunk of you sales or you pay a flat fee upfront is just a scam. Go use the KitUp app instead it’s what HopUp was before they got greedy.
