I feel that for anyone interested in model railways this is the best all-round publication - whereas some of the competitors seem a bit hard to digest or a bit too technical in places, I find this title easy to read and would thoroughly recommend it to anyone thinking of becoming, or already actively involved in, model railways, especially if they are working in the most popular UK scale, 00. ### 3/5 — Okay-ish *2013-10-12* The magazine is great and being able to read it on my ipad is nice, but the app itself is decidedly flaky. Downloads fine but when it comes to reading it just crashes. I love this magazine and look forward to reading it. Please fix it quick!! The app is still slow - takes ages to download even if it doesn't crash halfway through. None of my other mag subs have this problem. I love the magazine but won't be renewing if this doesn't improve. Update - I have just cancelled the auto renew on my subscription in sheer frustration after another update that failed to fix the continual crashes. You get an alert to say the new edition is ready, and it doesn't show on opening the app. The app crashes repeatedly, mostly on opening.... But not always. it has to be said, I am not convinced this is just Hornby mag as this also happens to British Railway Modelling. This has been mostly happening in the last few weeks, which was not immediately after ios6 so I think it's pocket mags. Please, please fix. My magazine only arrived two days ago and it’s been “attached to the end of my nose” ever since. I have a year’s subscription. Jam packed with pictures, advertisements, valuable information and encouraging articles. I have the train set, 3 extension packs, the wood for the base and so much enthusiasm and i’ll be up and running quite soon. Is there ONE book that I could use now to help me take my foot from the threshold into the “Railway modeller’s house?” Rev Dave ### 5/5 — Hornby magazine *2020-02-03* what a great magazine full of reviews , layouts and tips on model railways all in a brilliant digital subscription , i do love the printed version but they take up too much room i won’t throw them away as i may need them in the future for a re-read or for reference but the digital version solves all them problems it’s the future for me on how to have books/ magazines etc & with battery technology getting better then the amount of time i get to read my hornby magazine will only increase even though it pretty good now so keep this great monthly subscription coming . ### 5/5 — Excellent magazine *2016-01-30* Full of useful advice and information. ### 5/5 — Great Reading. *2015-05-11* I look forward to this magazine every month.
