Pass. ### 1/5 — Avoid the Heathrow Hotel Hoppa Service *2022-05-11, version 4.01* I experienced the terrible service offered by the Heathrow Hotel Hoppa Service over the last few days. Having arrived at Heathrow on the Heathrow Express in order to board a flight the following morning my hotel advised us to use the Hoppa service to get to the hotel. First problem was we could not find the right bus stop and were told different ones by different officials. Luckily we saw a Hoppa bus pull in but the driver said that this wasn’t the right bus for our hotel (Radisson Red). I asked him when the correct bus would come and he said I should look at the timetable. He drove off as I did and realised the service only runs once an hour and we would have to wait another 50 minutes. No thank you. We took a taxi to our hotel which was cheaper than the Hoppa bus would have been. Having bought a ticket in advance for the Hoppa on arrival at our hotel I asked what time the Hoppa would leave the next morning for an early flight. I was told 06.45 and it would take 15 minutes. Good I thought! Luckily we were up early the next morning and down in the lobby. At 0630 the Terminal 2/3 Hoppa bus rolled in. Hardly anyone on it and we left immediately. No waiting around to leave at the appointed time. Thank goodness we were there early. The bus then proceeded to stop at another 10 hotels and was filled to overflowing. Cases and people everywhere and when we got to the Premier Inn there was a queue of about 30 people wanting to get on. Other travelers on the bus started shouting to the driver that there was no way any more people could get on but somehow another six were fitted in. Goodness knows what happened to those left behind. We eventually got to Terminal 3 at 0730. Blood pressure was fit to burst and it was the worst possible start to the day. Let me say at this stage that the young lady driver was amazing. How she coped I just do not know. The moral of this story is that the Heathrow Hotel Hoppa Service is not fit for purpose in its present format. More buses are needed and a more frequent service. The hotels using it should be ashamed of themselves for supporting such a disastrous service. Most used to have their own buses employed directly by them so I expect using this Hoppa service is a cost cutting measure. Big mistake and reflects so badly on the hotels that use it. HeathrowHotel Hoppa Service - get your act together. Heathrow airport and the Hotels using it should take action against them as it is destroying the airport and the hotels’ reputation!!! My advice - Don’t use it!!! ### 1/5 — Save your money, don’t use this service *2022-05-10, version 4.01* Waited over an hour for the shuttle bus to arrive and eventually had to take an Uber as we were going to miss the cut off to drop our luggage. Tried contacting the company several times about the issue (and a refund) and have had no response. The app essentially just lets you buy a ticket but gives you no info on schedules, where to go to catch the shuttle at each terminal etc. It also requires wifi even after you activate the ticket to access the QR code. ### 1/5 — Useless app *2022-05-03, version 4.01* Tried to plan a trip from my hotel to the airport and it would only show local buses, not the Hoppa - despite me knowing that the Hoppa arrived at that time. Then I bought my ticket through the app. Payment was taken but the tickets just showed as ‘pending’. Meaning I had to pay twice on the bus itself. I will be requesting a refund. This also happened 18 Months ago! From Heathrow to the hotel was ok but the driver didn’t know which hotel the Ibis Heathrow was. So no I won’t recommend the hoppa and will check out buses the next time on the taxi drivers recommendation!!!
